One Life to Live Recap for Friday, September 17, 2004

Kelly dreams that Ace died, and she wakes in panic. David assures her that Ace is fine, and he takes her to see Ace. Kevin tries turning Kelly away, but David hints that Dorian might do something rash if she finds out Kevin wouldn't let Kelly see Ace. Kelly delights in seeing Ace, but she almost breaks down when she has to let him go.

Antonio tells RJ that he quit the force and needs to go away for awhile, and he asks RJ to watch Jamie indefinitely. Antonio almost leaves without telling her good-bye, but RJ stops him. RJ says that although he doesn't like Antonio, Jamie loves Antonio, and if Antonio is leaving her, she needs to know that her daddy loves her back. Alone with Jamie, Antonio tearfully tells her that he loves her with his heart and soul, but he can't be the father she needs right now because he needs to go make sure she stays safe. After he leaves, John stops him in the hallway outside.

Tico's employee Eduardo tells John that he saw Antonio kill Angelina. Tico does a lot of the talking for Eduardo, but John doesn't believe him. Sonia sticks up for Antonio, but Tico says that Eduardo would never lie. She questions Eduardo herself, but Tico sends him away. When Sonia asks if Tico set this up, Tico denies making Eduardo give false information to John.

Nat and Jess renew their sisterly bond. Jess tells Nat that she and Antonio split up, but she doesn't say that Antonio is Manuel Santi's son. Nat tells Jess that she broke up with Paul, but she's not that disappointed because she didn't love him.

Later, Nat drops her keys in Angel Square, and a surprise hand retrieves them for her. It's John. Nat smiles, eyes shining. They talk for a moment, and Nat says she's moving out soon, but she might stop by the rooftop occasionally.

At Lion's Heart, Sonia tells Jess she saw Antonio and he's a mess right now. Although she doesn't tell Jess about the kiss she shared with Antonio, she does say, "I did my best to help him." When Jess asks if he's okay, Sonia says, "If Antonio needed your help, he'd be here right now, but he's not." When Jess tells Sonia to stay away from him, Sonia says it's no longer Jess' business since she's not with him anymore. Tico hears the door shut after Jess leaves, and he asks Sonia why she didn't come get him when Jess arrived. Sonia replies that Jess didn't ask for him because she's only concerned about finding Antonio.

Nat asks Kevin for $30,000, but he won't give her the money because Paul is a waste of time. Nat says Kevin just wants to stick it to Paul for standing up for Kelly at the custody hearing. After she stomps away, Kevin calls Paul and orders him to come over.

RJ listens through his door as John and Antonio talk about Angelina's death. John says he doesn't believe Eduardo's story, but he asks Antonio to come in for questioning. When Antonio refuses, John calmly insinuates that he can just arrest Antonio and question him that way, but suddenly a Fed arrives and says that Antonio is coming with him. As he's taken away, RJ steps into the hall and asks John what that was all about.

Back at Dorian's, Kelly tells David that she has to believe she'll get Ace back. Tearily, she kisses him on the cheek for helping her today, but that quick smooch turns into a lingering look which soon becomes uncomfortable. Jumpy, David tells Kelly he needs to get to work, but it almost looks like he's fighting the urge to kiss her as he leaves.

Antonio tells the Fed that he wants a lawyer, but Sonia arrives and says he won't be needing one. "What are you doing here?" Antonio asks her. "Saving your butt," she replies as the elevator doors close.

Kevin tells Paul that he's not getting a dime from him or Nat. Paul says nastily, "Kevin, you seem to forget I know where Ace came from, and it wasn't from you." Kevin replies, "If you breathe a word about Ace to anyone, getting your money will be the last thing you have to worry about. Also, Paul calls Babe more than once and tells her to stay out of Llanview.

Alone at the loft, Jess recalls Sonia's comment about doing her best to help Antonio. Tico visits and tells Jess that Antonio may have killed Angelina.
