Trapped in a basement, John and Evangeline submit to sexual desire--complete with prolonged, sweaty foreplay and slight sensual hesitation. After their erotic tryst, they fall asleep together, only to be awakened by pepper spray pointed at them. Fortunately, it's Mary, their contact. Evangeline apologizes, saying that she and John didn't know how long they'd be trapped. John promises to place Mary in a safe house after she talks to a sketch artist about a man she saw fighting with her boyfriend the day before he died. While she packs upstairs, John and Evangeline discuss their impetuous behavior. Although they believe that they acted impulsively and offer apologies to one another, they also agree that they don't regret it.

When she leaves, Antonio tells Bo that Jess needs to stay far away from this case; that's the only way he can protect her. Afterwards, when Antonio sees the sketch of the man that Mary described, he tells John that he has seen the man at The Hook Up. Meanwhile at The Hook Up, the same man stands with Sonia as he takes orders (by phone) from another man who tells him to find Mary and kill her.
