One Life to Live Recap for the week of June 26- June 30, 2006

From Richard Schwertfager

Jess, Antonio, Brennan and Jamie go to Asa’s house where they are greeted by Clint and Viki with a surprise party for Brennan. Dorian shows up to see Clint, even though Viki tries to get rid of her. Jess thanks Dorian for calling Clint when Tess came to her for help and invites Dorian to stick around. Dorian sees all the gifts for Brennan and goes to make a call for a special delivery – something to outdo Viki. Jamie reminds Antonio about her sleepover party, Clint takes Brennan while Antonio drives Jamie to the party. Jess mentions that she is glad Niki is finally gone. Viki doesn’t think she is gone for good though, just as Viki says this she hears Niki trying to get out. Viki wards her off and keeps herself under control. . .

We see a man writing down the names of John, Rex, Viki, Ricky, Van and Nat. The unidentified man gives the list to an assistant wherein she forwards a text message to everyone’s name on the list. While Nash is asleep in his bed, Claudia hears him calling out for Tess. She pretends to be Tess and hops into bed with him. Thinking he is with Tess, Nash kisses Claudia but soon realizes what he did and kicks Claudia out. Claudia explains that she thought they could “comfort” each other, Nash explains that he’s not like that anymore. Claudia convinces him to let her stay in the house.

Nat meets up with John at the police station, determined to help him prove that Bo is innocent. John explains that there is a new way to ID forged signatures, but the results were inconclusive. Nat remembers, from her lecture, about a brand new process and calls her professor to get the details. John is pleased with Nat’s initiative, when Nat returns with a dead end – the process that John was talking about was the same one Nat was talking about – John explains that dead ends are very common in police business. Nat, again, asks to partner up with John, but he explains that they can’t be partners. John also explains that they can work together from time to time. Nat and John get a text message saying “Country club, ½ hour, come alone.” Nat thinks it might be Vince playing them together, they leave for the club.

Cris tries to dodge the question but Van knows something is wrong with his right hand. Cris explains that fighters get hurt, he quickly changes the subject to their relationship. Van explains that she can’t be in a relationship with someone when she hasn’t come to terms with her blindness yet. Cris doesn’t think it’s a valid excuse and kisses her. They are interrupted by Van’s cell phone – she gets the same message as John and Nat. She and Cris make their way to the country club. Clint and Antonio get to talking, wherein Clint gives Antonio advice about raising kids that are not his own. Antonio thinks that, when Nash returns, Clint will want Jess to be with Nash. Clint explains that when Jess is integrated, both her and Tess will be one – therefore they don’t know what her mental state will be.

Meanwhile, Viki profusely apologizes to Jess for what she – not Niki – did to her. Jess keeps saying that it’s not her fault, Viki explains that she knew about it when Jess was going thru it. Jess doesn’t quite understand, Viki explains that she didn’t question about when she found Jess fully dressed in the morning and not in p.j.’s, or why Viki woke up tired with make-up on all the time. Jess forgives Viki for what happened and knows that she will be ok. Clint and Antonio walk in, Jess and Antonio take the baby home to get some rest. Viki gets the text message and, against Clint’s wishes, goes to the country club.
