REFLECTIONS BY JILL for November 20, 2006

From Jill Berry, for About.com

Talk about killing two birds with one stone. It sure didn’t take much for Rex to find out that Todd’s son was none other than the baby that Michael and Marcie adopted. Those scenes with the lawyer’s secretary where Adriana pretended to be pregnant to get information on where Spencer placed Todd’s son were a bit over the top. I can understand how the secretary saw through Rex and Adriana’s scheme since she was a party to lots of illegal activity in the adoption world, but that scene where she realized Rex and Adriana were faking and she stabbed Adriana’s stomach was just awful. I kept thinking it was an awful thing to have her do on the outside chance that there was actually a baby in there. It gave me the creeps. And isn’t it funny how not too long ago Rex was the bad boy that everyone wanted to run out of town and now he’s the P.I. that everyone goes to when they need someone reliable to help them? I love that.

And it had to happen sooner or later. I was just getting used to enjoying watching the show without having to see Spencer every day and now we have to watch the start of his trial. I died laughing when Spencer tried to convince David to “forget” what he was going to testify about and David refused. David said it all when Spencer asked him why he was enjoying sticking it to him so much and David looked at him with a smirk on his face and said, “Are you kidding?” Spencer is one sick puppy and he’s sweating bullets that he thinks no one can see. Poor Baby! David was his usual hysterical self when he approached Spencer and let him think he would take a bribe to refuse to testify. I was hoping that David would turn it down and just as he had Spencer believing he’d take the money, he threw Spencer’s offer in his face. Way to go, David!

And the funniest line of the week for me was when Natalie was trying to dig up John’s grave and Vincent was trying to convince her to give it up. I fell over laughing when they talked about people coming back from the dead and Vincent said, “Things like this don’t happen every day” and Natalie fired back in a hysterical frenzy saying, “They do to me. It happened with Cristian!!!” Hey, where else can you see a woman go through burying the love of her life twice, only to find out he’s alive and right under her nose? Only on soaps my friends; only on soaps!

HERE’S WISHING EVERYONE A SAFE AND HAPPY THANKSGIVING! See ya next week.
