One fan got up to say that she loved Cristian (David Fumero) and it was funny because his real life fiancée Melissa Gallo (Adriana) was right next to him. The fan apologized to Melissa for being in love with her fiancé and Melissa said, “It’s ok, I get it.” I guess she must be used to the fact that women think her fiancé is quite the hunk.
As usual, the funny guy of the day was John Paul (Rex). One exuberant fan got up and asked him how he liked her dance class. It seems that JP was at a fan event down in Virginia and attended a dance class given by this fan. He definitely remembered her and said that it was quite a workout and that she kicked his butt in that class. She asked him if he remembered how to do a plie’and in true Rex style, he got up and demonstrated, which brought on major cheering.
A couple of questions went to Bob Woods (Bo) who is always so good to the fans. A woman stood up and was surprised that he wasn’t wearing one of his many Hawaiian shirts which he always wears and he commented that she just couldn’t see it, but up close it was a white on white shirt and yes, it did have palm trees all over it.
It was quite funny when another fan asked about the real life marriages of the cast members and Bob Woods said that he has been married for about 34 years and to the same woman, but that he married her twice. He said that he and his wife had kind of a hiatus, which his wife calls “time off for bad behavior.” A fan asked Bob to name all of his wives on the show and he said, “What do you want me to name them?” Then he proceeded to name them and he probably missed one or two, which the fans reminded him of. And of course, several fans asked for hugs from Bo, which he gave graciously.
A fan asked Nathaniel Marston (Michael) about how he felt about Michael and Marcie losing Tommy and he replied that he didn’t have any information to confirm that they were going to lose Tommy. Was he playing coy?
David Fumero was asked if Cristian was going to get back to his art, or remain a club manager or photographer and he said that he thought Cristian would probably be concentrating more on his art. He was also asked if he thought the role of Evangeline should be recast and although he said it was not his decision to make, he didn’t favor a recast.
Sean (Vincent’s buddy) was asked about future storylines and he said that he loves being on the show and anything they give him to do he’ll be happy doing. He seems like a truly sweet guy and all the fans seem to want him to stick around and have a good storyline.
Someone asked Catherine Hickland if she every speaks to Ty Treadway (Colin/Troy) and she said that she is very good friends with him and his wife and even stayed with them for a while in L.A. before she bought her own home out there. She also told us that Ty has been given a great job opportunity and he will be the host of Merv Griffin’s new crosswords game show that is coming up this fall.
David Chisholm was asked if Miles was going to be redeemed and he said that it was up to the fans but he hoped it would happen. Like I said, he seems to be a well-loved villain.
Of course, everyone wants to know, once and for all, who killed Spencer and several fans said that they heard it was going to be Lindsay. I heard that she would be arrested for the murder but we don’t know yet who actually did the deed. The actors said that eight different scenarios were shot to keep everyone guessing, so we have to wait and see what happens.
Patricia Elliot (Renee) was asked about the departure of Phil Carey and she said that although she and Phil (Asa) had their differences, he always supported her on the show and she said we should be sure to watch not only episode 10,000 (Asa’s departure) but also #9,999. She said they were both beautifully done.
For me, the funniest part of the Q&A session was when a fan asked David Fumero who he thought had bigger muscles, Cristian or Michael. They all looked at Sean and said he won that contest hands down and to prove it, Sean got down on the floor and proceeded to do a few push-ups. Oh, but did I tell you that he did those push-ups with John Paul standing on his back? It was hysterical and what was even funnier was when Catherine Hickland asked them when they figured out that they could do that and JP said, “on our third date.” That was the biggest laugh I had all afternoon.
An autograph and photo session followed and all in all it was a fun day. I hope next year, since the luncheon will probably be back to it’s usual date, all the actors can attend. We missed so many of them but we are very grateful for those that showed up and spent the day entertaining us.
See ya next week.
