I guess we need to talk about the entire mess that is now Jessicas life. Poor little Jamie. I hate when a little child has to suffer for the stupidity of their parents. I still have such mixed feelings about this storyline. I really think Jessica and Nash belong together but the price for their happiness is getting so high. Jessica just seems to be making one blunder after another and now no matter what she does she cant make it right. Who can blame Antonio for being furious with her? Look at how furious he is and right now he just thinks that the romantic pursuit is all one sided and that its only Nash thats after Jessica. Imagine what hell do when he finds out that the feelings go both ways! I wouldnt want to be around for that explosion. The top of his head will probably fly off. I thought Antonio would have caught on more by this time. I thought that hed get what was going on when Jessica told him that Jamie has already lost one mother and she didnt want to be responsible for hurting her down the line if she loses another. What the heck did he think that meant? I think with all that has been going on, Antonio doesnt want to see whats in front of his eyes.
Jessica sure felt guilty when Antonio FORGAVE HER for judging her and apologized for not understanding her for the person she has become since the integration. How is she going to be able to live with all that guilt? And just how guilty did she really feel when she was able to put everything else aside except for making love with Nash on the desk in Todds office? Gee, these people have interesting and exciting lives, NO? LOL!
Jamie was subjected to listening to her father and Jessica fighting and as if that wasnt bad enough, then she had to head for the park and overhear Cristian and Nash arguing over the whole situation. Jamie is five years old and shes probably a lot smarter than anyone is giving her credit for. That was evident when she asked Jessica, Do you love Nash more than Papi? And that poor kid; she still wants Jessica to be there when she comes home and be her mommy.
While were talking about Nash, I have to be honest about his behavior last week. I really love this guy. I think hes a very decent guy and he loves Jessica and his daughter completely. He has been the outcast in Llanview ever since he innocently fell in love with Jess/Tess and still was respectful of her family, even when they all tried to run him out of town. BUT, I found his behavior at the hospital totally inappropriate. When he waited in the hallway for Jessica and grabbed and kissed her I just shook my head. I know he was upset because he knew that with Jamie being hurt it might mean that Jessica wouldnt be able to tell Antonio the truth right away, but he was wrong to kiss her and heck, she was wrong to kiss him back. I understood why he wanted to stay around to see if Jamie was okay. After all, he was with Cristian when Jamie was hit by the car and despite everything that is going on, he doesnt wish Antonio any harm. (I know, I know, he just wants Antonios woman and thats enough.) Even if he was upset after Antonio told him not to bother pretending to be his friend and to stay away from Jessica, he should have just left and waited for a better time to talk to Jessica about their situation. Jamie behaved more like an adult than any of them. Shes like Starr; more sensible than her parents. I think Nash and Antonio are both very insecure about where Jessica will wind up and they are acting on their emotions.
And speaking of the Mannings, for all the naysayers who think Blair and Todd will never get back together, were you watching these two people who supposedly are through with each other? He was being very honest when he said that even with all the foster homes in her past, she turned out better than he did. Todd, in his own special, obnoxious way almost alienated the woman from the adoption agency when she came just to help him and Blair had to smooth the womans feathers so that Todd could have a chance of finding his son. I always enjoy seeing Todds vulnerable side and usually we only get to see it with Viki, but he let it all out there for Blair when he was worried about finding his son and was reminded that Margaret was his mother and he wasnt much of a father. It was evident how he still feels about Blair when he told her that their kids were great because of her and she tried to convince him that hes a great father and that they love him so much. I was really moved when Todd asked Blair if she would help him raise his son and that he needs her. That was quite a concession on Todds part and Blair wasnt shocked that he asked her. She just knew what he needed from her and was willing to give it. These two are both more than a little crazy and over the edge, but they love each other very deeply on their own wacky level and no one else can come close to that for either of them.
I was going to try to describe what I think of Tate after his ridiculous conversation with Adriana in the limo and then his insane performance on The View, but I think Rex said it best when he described Tates behavior by saying, He was jumping around like some freaking monkey on Prozac. Wasnt it bad enough that we had to see Tom Cruise make a fool of himself for real on national television? That sincere bull that Tate gave Adriana in the limo on the way to New York was enough to make me gag. Oh yeah, he still stays in touch with his second grade teacher and hes never been in love. Poor baby! Who writes this junk?
