REFLECTIONS BY JILL for April 23, 2007

From

Finally the real Antonio is back and hey, who can blame the guy for being furious and not letting Jessica get a word in edgewise? Antonio is dealing with being betrayed by the woman he loves and as if that’s not enough to make him crazy, he has to deal with the fact that she hurt his little girl and that is just about unforgivable. It was heartbreaking to watch Antonio trying to explain things to Jamie but it was an “out of the mouths of babes” moment when Antonio was trying to convince Jamie that Jessica still loved and wanted her and Jamie said, “Papa, does Jessica still want you?” OUCH!

There was nothing Jessica could say to Antonio during their confrontation at home that he would have been able to digest without exploding and it was obvious that she wasn’t going to be able to tell him the truth at that moment. I also felt really bad for Nash, whom I think has been hurt the most next to Jamie. Nash has been walking into brick walls at every turn in the last couple of years and all he did was fall in love with a woman he believed was available and wanted to spend her life with him. Now that he has a chance to finally have what he wants, I can’t blame him for being anxious to finally get his life in order with the woman he loves and their child. I don’t think Nash should have shown up at Jess and Antonio’s place like he did and he shouldn’t have stood up to Carlotta like he did. He was smart to leave when he did without being too disrespectful to Antonio’s mother. I’m sure waiting to hear from Jessica was killing him, especially after that ridiculous visit from Clint, Dorian and Viki.

And why the heck was Dorian in on that visit anyway? Clint should have told her it was a family matter and dropped her at the nearest bus stop. OK, he could have driven her home first. But she didn’t belong there when they went to Nash’s place and she certainly should have kept her mouth shut while she was there. But we all know that’s not something that’s possible for Dorian to do. And actually, Viki and Clint really had no business showing up at Nash’s door and barging in uninvited even without Dorian. They could have called and even if he were protecting Jessica, Nash would have told them if she was there and that she was safe. I wonder if Nash is sure he wants to get involved with that nutty family. And being threatened by Clint; boy, Nash looked scared, didn’t he? NOT!

So of course we are watching Nash and Jessica just hanging out talking at Antonio’s place where at any minute someone could come in and catch them and hey, guess what? In walks Jamie with Carlotta just in time to see Jessica and Nash kissing before he gets a chance to slip out the window. Someone should tell Jessica to look around and realize that this is what the world looks like a second before it blows up in your face. Something tells me that Carlotta’s fury will only be slightly less than Antonio’s. And who knew that Jamie was such a little whippersnapper? For a kid who usually doesn’t have a word to say, they gave her some lines that made everyone snap to attention, especially Jessica. I could feel Jessica’s heart stop when she apologized to Jamie for her horrible mistake and Jamie said, “You mean kissing Nash? Was that your big mistake?” Yikes Jessica. And it was only made worse when Antonio walked in and asked Jamie if she was okay and she said, “Yes, Jessica is sorry about the court and the kissing.” Holey Cow! Out of the mouths of babes!

And Evangeline thinks she might be pregnant? Any bets on whether or not she is? You can see that she and Cristian still have feelings between them, but Evangeline is obviously upset about Todd leaving her behind and taking Blair to Chicago. She needs to immerse herself in work and forget about her social life for a while. She’s not doing a very good job of making it work in my opinion.

And in all the chaos that’s going on around Llanview, Marcie is holding auditions for the high school production of “Oklahoma”. It figures that Brittany would cause an uproar when Cole decided to back out so that Starr could be in the show. I can’t wait to hear if any of the other young actors can sing. We know that Kristen Alderson can do a lot more than act. She still has that pretty voice and it was very sweet to see her singing to Cole. How much sabotage will go on if Brittany doesn’t get what she wants out of this project? And oh, wouldn’t it be nice to see Starr give as good as she gets, like, oh, let’s say find a way to make something wicked crawl up Brittany’s costume, or better yet, sabotage Brittany’s costume so it just falls off on stage. Hey, who says I can’t have some fun thoughts? Brittany has poor Henry running to spend $9.00 on coffee for her and risking getting expelled for going off school grounds to get it. Surely, he carries around a sewing kit, just in case!

See ya next week.
