REFLECTIONS BY JILL for February 25, 2008

From

Speaking of Gigi staying in Llanview, you could tell how much Adriana liked that idea, couldn’t you? Boy, there is more and more of Dorian coming out in Adriana all the time. She is rightfully skeptical of Gigi and whether or not Shane is Rex’s son, but her behavior when they were at Viki’s was really nasty. I thought she would choke on her breakfast when Gigi said she was considering staying in Llanview and it made her insecure to the point of being nasty when she took that phone call and found out that she would be heading to Paris. The only thing missing was her stomping her feet like a spoiled baby when she returned to the table and Rex was paying attention to Shane rather than waiting with bated breath to find out what her call was about. You could see her insecurity shining through when she told Rex she was heading to Paris and wanted him to join her. She behaved like a petulant little child when he said he couldn’t leave Llanview right how and she said, “Then I won’t go either.” Rex realizes she doesn’t trust him and he doesn’t like it. I don’t blame him.

And speaking of that breakfast at Viki’s house, that sure was an interesting array of breakfast guests, wasn’t it? Leave it to Viki to make everyone feel at home like one big, happy family. And even though Rex is more than thrilled to think that Charlie is the father he always wanted, he was skeptical enough to nab Charlie’s fork after breakfast. I guess we’re going to be subject to another DNA test.

Starr really enjoyed her party. At least for now she knows she was wrong to suspect Cole and Langston of getting together behind her back, but how long will that last? Langston is already showing signs of being uncomfortable around Cole because she has feelings for him and even though Cole has just told Langston that he now loves Starr more than ever, he is making a big mistake in his actions. It was wrong for him to run to Langston instead of Starr when he found out that Ramsey was the new mayor. Sure, he was upset about the fact that Ramsey was the cause of Marty’s death in that van, but even though he says he is protecting Starr by not telling her because it would upset her too much, it will hurt her more that he turned to Langston. These kids are young and Cole and Langston have been through something that even adults have a lot of trouble getting through, so it is understandable that Cole doesn’t really know how to handle everything and really believes he’s protecting the girl he loves from being upset, but Starr is very tough and he will find that out the hard way if she has anything to say about it.

Todd sure has his hands full now, doesn’t he? You know things are bad in his life when he finds himself up against the wall and afraid. And he is definitely afraid of Ramsey with good reason. Finding that bullet under Sam’s toys in the middle of Todd’s bed was no joking matter and as threats go, that was a big one. Of course, Todd had to confront Ramsey and the creep denied everything, but his threat to Todd is very real and Todd doesn’t have a clue what do to about it. Ramsey provides a similar threat to Todd like Spencer did. After all, Spencer went so far as to get Todd all the way to the death chamber for a crime he didn’t commit and now Ramsey has control over the law, which Todd has broken and continues to break whenever the mood strikes him. Blair knows he is afraid for his family and she’s no fool. She could see right through Todd when he changed his mood all of a sudden and told her he couldn’t go through with being a family man. She knows that Todd fears Ramsey and what he could do to hurt his family because of how much Todd’s family means to him.

Antonio and Talia were moving in the direction of the bedroom but Jamie interrupted them and I think that was a good thing. It seems like just yesterday that Antonio was refusing to give Talia the time of day and I think she should make him work at a relationship for a while before jumping into bed with him. I also like the relationship that she is forming with Jamie, which is very important if she’s going to be with Antonio.

On the other hand, Sarah and Cristian got tired of waiting and hit the sheets. I like them together and I did get a lot of laughs out of them getting caught naked in the kitchen when Vincent and Layla came in. It’s a good thing they didn’t try to bend down or those paper towels they wrapped themselves in would have split at the seams. I like the relationship Sara and Cristian are developing. I like when couples have romance and a lot of fun but I can’t help thinking what it would be like if TPTB decided that this was a good time to think about bringing Evangeline out of that coma.

Is Alison going to awaken long enough to annoy everyone some more before she goes? Jessica sure isn’t going to learn the secret Alison was keeping from that ruined DVD they found.

So what’s the story with Asa’s enemies coming out of the woodwork? This must have something to do with the mayor and Ramsey taking hold of law enforcement in town and is Asa’s family going to pay for all the bad blood he has created in his life? Sure they are!

See ya next week.
