From Judith Light to Robin Strasser, OLTL has consistently cast strong, intelligent actresses to portray characters on their show. As much as I loved Florencia Lozano and her portrayal of Tea, I must admit that her abilities have been under-used, no, non-existent of late. So, today, my favorite OLTL actress is hands down Robin Christopher. I have to hand it to her, she is doing a masterful job with Skye. Skye came to town mad as hell over being abandoned and scorned. Good for her. Her scorch the earth ideology is just perfect for a soap opera. RC is able to portray Skye's many emotions with subtle changes in her face. Even her eyes change moods. It is so nice to see a character who is not played "over the top." or melodramatically. RC's performance is so good that I actually believe her dual personality: She can be stone cold, as she was seeking revenge upon Ben, then truly concerned, as she is about!" |

Skye is a character that at first appears to be vicious, but when you look deeper you see that she is just lashing out at those that have hurt her in the past. Robin convincingly portrays a woman who has decided to hurt everyone else before they get a chance to hurt her again. She brings excitement and a much needed spark to Llanview. I hope TPTB at OLTL will give her a great storyline." |
