STATIONHOUSE

Roseanne received a good luck note from Antonio on the first day of her
new job at the Police Department. She got a balloon bouquet from Sophia,
who was very helpful. She advised Roseanne which bathroom to use, and to
become accustomed to being addressed by all sorts of 'nicknames'. She
then asked Roseanne to make her a cup of coffee, smiled and called her
'sweetie' as she walked away!

THE NEW CLUB

Cris found his sketchbook in his bag behind the bar and tried to draw.
Seeing it was no use, he threw the book to the floor in frustration.
Jessica happened to be there to look for her missing scarf and picked the
book up. She told him she was sorry for his injury and asked if it was
going to be permanent. He asked why she cared; there was something he had
loved even more than his art!

STATIONHOUSE

Sam gave Bo some mob names and Bo warned him he was not to go near
Rourke!

ROURKE'S PLACE

Viki began to introduce herself to Rourke, but he already knew who she
was. He didn't admit to knowing Ben and Viki called him a liar! She said
that her name was not Victoria Lord Carpenter but Victoria Davidson!
Rourke was known to have been associated with Ben Davidson! Rourke said
if she wanted her husband back she was in the wrong place, he was a
business man not a marriage counselor!

BUCHANAN RANCH

RJ gave Max his first check as his investment was doing well and the bar
was already making money. He told Max that Blair was hanging out with
Cristian and Max told him that Blair was a user and that was all she
would ever be! He swore she wasn't going to get one dime of his money and
said his methods might not be 'legal' but he thought they would work!

STATION HOUSE

Bo reminded Sam that he was in the business of catching criminals and he
wondered what type, because Colin McIver was still walking around free!
Bo said he would not put a civilian in jeopardy and the kidnappers would
contact them with demands, if it were a straightforward kidnapping. Sam
said that Ben had connections with the Russo crime family. At this point
Roseanne burst into the room, holding a folder in her hand. She told Bo
that the file he wanted on Melanie McIver was ready! He told her that
since the file was marked 'Confidential' she was not to announce the
contents to anyone! She was to knock on his door before entering! Sam
wanted to know why Bo was investigating Lanie!

BAYBERRY BLUE

Lanie lay on her bed pondering the night before and her dilemma. She
heard Lindsay's words going around in her head. That she should be as
perfect as possible for Bo because he couldn't live with mistakes!

Lindsay knocked on Lanie's door, apologized for her words of the night
before, and began to congratulate her on her engagement. Lanie told her
that there was no engagement. Lindsay tried to probe but Lanie didn't
want to talk, she wanted to be alone!

STATION HOUSE

Sam told Bo that since he was Lanie's lawyer he didn't like the idea that
Bo was treating her like she was a 'perp'! Bo told Sam that he had asked
Melanie to marry him and she said no! He knew that she loved him but
didn't know what was stopping her from telling him what was wrong. Since
she wouldn't tell him herself, he vowed to get at the truth some other
way!

B & B UNITED

Asa walked in to Will's office and told him that he would be bankrupt by
the time the market closed because he was in over his head! He offered to
buy him out, to name his price and he would write him a check! Will
reminded him that something had gone wrong the last time he wrote him a
check!

ROURKE'S

Rourke told Viki that many people cared about Ben's past, but wouldn't
tell her why. He told her that he didn't have Ben and urged her to leave
before people began to suspect that 'she' had met with the same fate!
Viki threatened to phone the police and told one of Rourke's men at the
bar that she recognized him! He was the man who had pretended to be a
state trooper and had pulled her and Ben over! Rourke asked if she were
threatening him! People who threatened him were often sorry, even very
prominent people! They found themselves driving off piers and in front of
trains! As Rourke's men held her arms she began to look afraid at last.
Antonio walked into the bar and quietly asked what was going on! He
escorted Viki outside and she thanked him for arriving when he did!

Inside, one of the men said that Viki was a pushy broad and Rourke felt
that would be in their favor! She would continue to push and she would
lead them straight to Ben!

STATION HOUSE

Sophia phoned the hospitals looking for leads on Ben's whereabouts while
Roseanne struggled to answer the switchboard! She quickly became
overwhelmed and Sophia advised her that when a cop asked her to do
something, she had better do it! Everyone had heard Bo admonishing her;
she had left the door open! Roseanne accused of her enjoying that and
Sophia admitted it but reminded her that if she didn't straighten out it
would only happen again! Roseanne said that Sophia was being helpful and
letting her stay with her because she wanted Antonio! Sophia said that
was ridiculous! If she only pretended to be Roseanne's friend, in order
to go after the man she loved, that would make her just like Roseanne!

THE NEW CLUB

Blair came into the club to talk to Cristian and he walked over to her,
kissed her, and told her that last night had been great! Jess asked what
he was doing with Blair; she was married to her uncle! She said that Cris
was an entirely different person and maybe she had never really known him
at all! Blair said she had come to apologize for last night but Todd had
done something she did not expect.

BUCHANAN RANCH

RJ told Max he ought to forget the fight and give Blair the money she
wanted! Max said that after what she had done to him he wouldn't give her
anything! After RJ left, Max grinned as he put the final spin on
something in his computer!

THE NEW CLUB

Cris told Blair that the perfect man wouldn't ask her to be someone she
isn't, he would accept her as she was! She got a call from Max, who
wanted to discuss their divorce settlement.  Cris asked her to stay but
she said that she liked him and he had helped her the night before. She
hoped that she had done him some good too.

B & B UNITED

Asa wondered why Will was bent to running the company on his own, did he
intend to try to ruin him! Will wanted to run the company so it would
succeed! He hadn't hurt Jessica as Asa had predicted and he wanted to be
able to give her what he couldn't before! Jessica heard it all as she
walked outside his door!

STATION HOUSE

Roseanne repeatedly told a caller that he had the wrong number! Later, an
officer asked her if someone called "spuds" had telephoned, she said she
told him he had the wrong number! He said he had been waiting for the
call all day, it was a tip and Roseanne had blown it! Roseanne got up and
told Sophia if she wanted more coffee she would be in the ladies room and
met RJ in the hall, who teased her mercilessly!

Inside Bo's office, Sam said that he couldn't divulge any secrets that
were Lanie's alone to give!

Antonio walked into Bo's office with Viki. Rourke had said he didn't have
Ben and she believed him!

BUCHANAN RANCH

Max had some papers for Blair to read and she wanted to read and sign
them and get it over with! When Max asked her why she was in such a great
hurry, she told him that she was going to marry Todd!

BAYBERRY BLUE

Lindsay told her sister that Colin said she was keeping a secret about
her and their dad! Lanie said she didn't know anything about it and Colin
was likely to say anything lately! Lindsay said he was probably just
trying to cause trouble!

THE VICTIM

Two men pulled Ben into an elegantly furnished room and he wanted to know
where he was! They pulled off his blindfold and asked him if he
recognized his location!
