<<< BACK TO RECAPS  INDEX

Lindsay, Chad, and Cris

Cris is in his apartment in his undies, putting on his jeans while the girls down in the Break Bar are ogling him on the web cam.  Lindsay comes into the bar and is happy to see that her scheme is so successful.  Lindsay sees Cris on the computer and tells Chad that when Cris comes to work, he should try to get him to go back upstairs.   Just then, Cris comes into the bar and asks Lindsay what she’s doing there.  She tells him that she wants to apologize for the way she’s treated him and that she wants to bury the hatchet.  He looks very suspicious.  He asks her where she wants to bury the hatchet…in his head?  She says she just wants to stop the fighting and have peace.  Cris wonders what this means and he asks her if Jen put her up to apologizing.  She says no – that she just wants to get along.  Cris says that it’s better than the open warfare they’ve been having.  Lindsay leaves and Chad tells Cris that the bar is empty and that since there’s so little business, he should go back upstairs and do whatever he needs to do.  Cris is pleasantly surprised that he doesn’t have to work, and goes upstairs.  He calls Jen on the phone and she tells him she’s at the quarry, but that she misses him.  He asks her to come over to his place and she agrees to it.  Jen is going to see Cris, and asks Will not to tell Lindsay where she went.  Will agrees.

Jess, Will, Seth and Jen

Will wants to talk to Jessie alone and Seth tells him to leave her alone…that she doesn’t want anything to do with him.  Will says that if Jess doesn’t want to talk to him, she can tell him herself.  She agrees to talk to Will and he asks her if this is what they’ve come to.  He wonders why they can’t even talk to each other.  She tells him that he’s the one who is making a big deal every time he sees her with someone and she doesn’t want to fight with him.  She tells him that he has overreacted many times and he agrees that he may have overreacted.  Jess tells him that it can’t matter to him any more who she sees.  He asks her if he just has to stop caring about her and stop loving her…and asks if that’s how she wants it to be and she say she doesn’t want that.

While Jess and Will are talking, Seth tells Jen that she’s all Cris ever talks about.  He tells her that he and Cris grew up together in Angel Square and that he had made some mistakes and that’s why he left Llanview.  He said that Cris doesn’t hold it against him and neither does Jess…and he likes that.

Will and Jen leave and Seth asks Jess if she’s OK.  She says she is and thanks him for trying to help with Will, but she can handle things.  He warns her that she should be careful of Will – that some guys know what they want and they can be dangerous if they don’t get it.  Jess tells him that Will is not like that.  Seth tells her to be careful anyway and then tells her that it would be good for Will to see her with other people and he asks her out.  She asks if he’s asking her for a date and he says no…it’s just for coffee and it will be good for Will to see them together.  She agrees to go out with him and he laughs…she asks why he’s laughing and he tells her that she’s beautiful and smart and he’s glad to be going out with her – and that he’s never met anyone like her.

Nora, Sam and “Colin”

Nora is having a dream…Colin knocks on the door and she opens it.  He steps in, staring at her and keeps backing her into the house.  She starts to speak and he covers her mouth and lowers her to the couch…then she wakes up.   She goes to the closet to get out a bag to pack and heads for the stairs, but she can’t go up…she still sees Colin falling.  She hears someone knocking on the door and it’s Sam.  He sees that she’s upset and tells her he’s back because Matthew forgot his truck.  He goes to get the truck and sees her bag.  He asks if she’s going somewhere and she says she was just going to pack some of Matthew’s things.  Sam says he knows that’s not Matthew’s bag.  Nora admits that she needs to get away for a few days and Sam wonder where she’ll go.  She says she doesn’t know, but she needs to get away.  He says he knows she’ll go somewhere – get a hotel room – shut the lights and not answer the phone – and that’s not good.  She says she can’t seem to be able to handle what’s been going on.  Sam asks her if it’s the trial, or him, or what and she says all of it.  She says she sees Colin all the time and can’t even go up the stairs.  It’s like he’s still alive and living in Llanview.  She says she can’t eat or sleep and that she’s desperate.  She tells Sam that above all, she can’t live with the guilt…the guilt that she got away with murder and that others suffered for what she did.  He told her that she didn’t get away with murder…that Colin fell and she insists that she pushed him.  Sam says,  “What if you go away and the guilt goes with you?”

Nora asks Sam not to stop her.  He says he won’t and she thanks him.  He then tells her that he doesn’t want her to leave…that she’s the most important thing to him.  He says he’ll do whatever it takes to help her….whatever it takes for her to stay with him.

Gabrielle, Max and Asa

Gabby comes back to the mansion after seeing Todd and she is furious.  She finds Max and she is going crazy yelling at him and asking if he really intends to marry Blair.  She tells him he can’t marry Blair and he tells her that he can’t deal with her…that she runs hot and cold.  She tells him that she has to be cautious because of Asa and Max says that doesn’t cut it with him.  Max says that the way Gabrielle is carry on is just the way he thought she’d react and she slaps his face, asking him if that’s how he thought she’d react.  She tells him that she doesn’t care if he marries Blair.  She says now Al will have even more of a reason to hate him and he thinks that Al will have more respect for him for wanting to take care of his child.  Gabby is wondering if Max is going to move Blair into the mansion and she says if he does that, she won’t stand for seeing Blair all the time, so she will banish them to the west wing and have a separate entrance to the house put in.  She asks him, “What about us?”  He says there is no us.  She says she’s knows that and he says that if she knows that, then why is she bouncing off the walls at the news.

Gabby tells Max that they are finished.  He asks why.  She tells him that if he marries Blair, there is no future for them.  He wonders why again.  She asks him if he’s over her already and she asks why he’s marrying Blair.  She tells him that he never loved her…that he just lusted after her, as if she were a tramp that he just used for sex.   He grabs her, kisses her and they fall to the couch.  Then he gets up and decides he can’t do that.  He has to think of his child.  Gabby is furious…she gets up with her blouse hanging off and she is mad.  He tells her that he has to worry about his baby and that he has a wedding to plan.  He leaves and Asa comes in seeing her seething.  She tells him what happened and he doesn’t believe that Max will marry Blair.  Gabby tells him that this is ruining their whole plan to set up Max.  Asa tells her that it better not mess up their plans.  He tells her that if she knows what’s good for her, and wants to stay with him and his money, she better find a way to make it work.  Gabby tells Asa not to drop this whole thing on her shoulders and that she can’t fight a baby.  Asa doesn’t want to hear it.  She asks Asa what will happen if she can’t get Max to come around and he tells her that it’s a cold, cruel world out there and if she doesn’t want to be out there again, she will make him happy.  He leaves and she collapses on the couch crying.

Blair and Todd

Todd comes to the door and Blair is very upset to see him and tells him that she knows he told Starr about the baby being Max’s.  He comes in and argues with her about why she’s going to marry Max.  She wonders how he knows and he tells her that Starr overheard it.  Blair is upset to hear this.  Todd asks her how she can marry Max when she loves him and she says that she will answer him if he answers one question for her.  She asks him if he broke his promise to let her tell Starr in her own time about the baby.  At first he lies, then he has to admit that he told Starr.  Blair hates that he told her.  She says she doesn’t love Todd any more and that she’s going to marry Max and be happy with someone who can give her love and security.  Todd tells her she can’t marry Max when he cares about her and she loves him.  She tells him that she stopped loving him the minute he got that restraining order to keep her from her little girl…that her love for him died when he did that.  She asked why he got the restraining order and he said he thought he needed it at the time because he thought she didn’t care about him any more…but maybe he was wrong.  He tells her that he knows she loves him because he heard it from Viki and saw it in  Sam’s file.  She is shocked and asks him if Sam showed him the file and he said no.  She tells him that she’s going to marry Max and be happy and that she is also going to take him to court to get Starr back.  She says she’ll see him in court and as he leaves he says, “I’ll see you in hell.”

Jen and Cris

Jen goes to Cris’ apartment and the girls in the bar downstairs are watching on the web cam.  Cris tells her that Lindsay tried to make peace and Jen doesn’t believe Lindsay.  Cris says it’s better than fighting with her.  Lindsay is back at the bar again and is watching Cris on the screen, but as Jen is about to walk in, Will comes by and asks what Lindsay is doing there.  She tells him she’s supposed to meet RJ about selling him some art.  Will questions her dealing with RJ, but she brushes it off.  She asks where Jen is and Will says he dropped her at the mall.  Will tells Lindsay to just give Jen a break and Lindsay tells him that she just worries about her.  Lindsay decides to leave and so does Will and neither of them see Jen and Cris on the screen.  Cris asks her if she wants to go to a concert and she tells him she wants to stay at his place.  He tells her that he wants to make love to her and they start kissing and wind up on the floor.
