'KELLY'S PAINFUL CONFESSION'

When Kelly followed Joey to the Banner to continue their conversation,
Joey knew something was wrong. Kelly told him that she loved his brother.
Kevin entered the room and asked what Kelly had told Joey. Kelly looked
at Kevin and said "I told him I loved you."

ASA'S 'HIDE YOUR HEART AWAY'

Jessica and Todd were discussing love. Todd said that once she figured
out what she wanted, Will and Cris were going to run. When she had
chosen, that would be the one who would split! He told Jessica to ''let
the two men love her, but to keep her heart, because if she gave it to
someone they would just break it.'..

THE HARDY BOYS DISAGREE...

Cris told Will about Viki's 'dying', and said that when she died, it
would kill Jess too. He felt that she shouldn't have to live with that
much guilt on her shoulders. Will asked Cris if he believed Todd. Cris
said he'd seen how upset Todd had been. He didn't think he would lie to
his own niece. Will said that if it was true, he would tell Jessica to go
home. Cris just looked at him, and told him to leave! Will refused. Cris
tried to explain again, that Jess would blame herself if Will didn't
leave! Will said that it would break her heart if he broke his promise to
her! Cris said that Will would do it if he loved her, that he was ready
to give up anything for her! He asked Will again, to leave!

'IT'S ALL IN THE 'CRAZE'!

Lanie found Lindsay at the dock and put her coat around her, she still
wore the slip and bridal veil. Lindsay told her sister that she knew
Lanie thought she was crazy, but that she really wasn't. Lanie said that
she wanted her to see a doctor, the kind of doctor who could help her.
She told her that she was under a lot of stress. She got her to her feet,
and they walked to Llanview hospital...

MATTHEW IN HOSPITAL...

Colin, Sam and Bo brought Matthew into Llanview hospital to be seen by a
doctor. When no one was available, Colin took him into the nearest room
to check him over. A 'Doctor Prager' was on call and didn't want Colin to
be with his patient, as Colin had no privileges at the hospital. Dr.
Prager ordered a series of tests to rule out Meningitis.

Colin felt that the first year resident was still 'wet behind the ears'
and that the tests were too extreme. He thought the child had a
twenty-four to forty-eight hour virus, that they should do blood work,
and monitor him. Bo asked Sam if he trusted Colin. Sam said he didn't,
not as a 'human', but as a doctor, he thought he might. Bo said he'd like
to call Melanie in...

DEEP COVER AT CROSSROADS...

R.J. and Jeff Barnes were having an in-depth discussion as Antonio,
wearing a disguise, lounged next to them taking in every word. Barnes
told R.J. that he needed 'steady work', that there was a job he could
accept in Seattle. R.J. told him that if he 'left before he was through
with Bo Buchanan that he wouldn't have to worry about anything at all!'

'BROTHERLY LOVE'

Joey turned tormented eyes on Kevin and blurted "Did you ever...?" Kevin
quickly said "No." Joey began yelling that he must have 'wanted to'
though! He asked Kevin if he loved Kelly and he "Yes." Kevin tried to
tell Joey that he loved him, they were brothers but Joey screamed in his
face "You Love My Wife!" Kevin mentioned staying married and Joey stared
in disbelief. He turned and told Kelly that when she told him she loved
him, she had lied! He had asked them both, and they denied their feelings
and they lied!

He said Sophia saw them kiss at Crossroads, and that she had been right!
They didn't deny it. He asked about the night they were supposed to be
working late...that they must have 'kissed, shared a moment, and had a
laugh on him'! Joey told Kevin he couldn't lie his way out of this one!
Kelly said she did love Joey. He told her she didn't know what love
meant, that her kind of love he could live without!

'NOTHING MORE THAN...FEELINGS!"

Todd told Jessica that feelings weren't 'real', that it was all an
illusion. That you couldn't 'touch' a feeling. It was an 'imaginary
device used to protect yourself from being afraid!' Jess tried to jump on
his use of the word 'afraid' as being a feeling, but he quickly
recovered, saying that fear was a 'cosmic joke'. He said that love was a
mental aberration. Jess said he was wrong. Todd maintained that she would
be left with nothing but emptiness. He advised her to find someone that
she didn't even like! Jess walked outside and Todd spoke aloud in the
empty room. "Why did you do that?"

MATTHEW AND HIS 'TWO DADS'

Bo told Sam "We're not gonna let anything happen to Matthew". Sam looked
at Bo "We?" Colin called Sam into the room as Lanie attempted to admit
Lindsay. Bo saw this and asked what she was being admitted for.

JOEY'S BROKEN HEART...

Joey told the two of them that Kelly had wanted a baby because she
couldn't have Kevin! She had slept with him, while thinking of Kevin! He
wondered how she was going to live with herself! Joey assured her that
she wouldn't have to give herself to him anymore, because he no longer
wanted it.

Kevin tried to tell Joey that he was not the only one hurt, but Joey told
him that he couldn't possibly know how he felt! Knifed! Betrayed! He said
he wanted to be left alone! He told Kevin to get the hell out of his way
and he left the office.

'CROSSED WIRES' AT THE CROSSROADS...

As Antonio listened, Barnes told R.J. that he didn't like to be
threatened, but that for now, he wouldn't take the other job. Sophia
looked, walked over and plucked the hat off Antonio's head, calling his
name! R.J. stood up and announced that there was a 'sudden stench' in the
room and left! Antonio 'thanked' Sophia for blowing his cover! She wanted
to know why he hadn't told her, she was his partner! He said it was a job
off the record. Sophia offered her services, but Antonio told her that
she had already 'helped enough'...

HOSPITAL MEETING GROUND...

Lindsay explained to Bo that she thought she'd sprained her ankle, and
turned to Lanie and said she really didn't think she needed any x-rays.
Bo told Melanie that Matthew was sick. Lindsay told Bo he ought to 'have
a say' in what was going on. Sam asked Melanie to please have a look at
Matthew. Infectious diseases were not her area of expertise, but she
checked in and agreed with Colin that it was probably viral. It was
decided they would observe, do bloodwork, but put off the testing for the
time being. Colin and Sam went in to see Matthew,  and Bo followed, but
Colin, in the doorway, told him it was "family members only".

HARDY BOYS...ROUND TWO

Will accused Cris of using Viki's illness to 'win'! He refused to leave.
Cris said he was calling the police...

'SPRAINED ANKLE BLUES...'

Lindsay swore Lanie to secrecy, that she must not tell Bo about wanting
to check her in to the hospital... Sam, seeing Bo as the doctor went by
with Matthew on a gurney, told him that he was going to be in room  317.
Lanie went to check on an available room for Lindsay, and told her to
wait on a bench for her. Once she was gone, Lindsay hopped up and ran
into the room where Matthew had been!

END OF THE 'ROAD'

Crossroads was closing for the night as Joey Buchanan came in the door.
Sophia said she'd let him stay but that she had to study for an important
test and pass! Looking at Joey, she asked if he was alright. He looked at
her, took her face in his hands and began kissing her...

KEVIN AND KELLY, ALONE AT LAST

Kevin asked her how she could have just 'told' Joey like she did. She
felt that she was lying and cheating on him! Kevin suggested that there
might have been a better way to do it, but Kelly said that he knew
something was wrong! She hated herself for what she had done, and asked
Kevin if she had 'ruined everything'. He embraced her and she cried on
his shoulder. Upset, they stood nose to nose until his mouth found
hers...

HARDY BOYS...ROUND THREE & A GIRL!

Will asked Cris if he could speak to Jess alone. He told her that Cris
was 'wrong', that he was sick of him, he was 'conceited' and 'arrogant'.
He wanted Jessica to get rid of him by that very night or he would leave!

FINAL MOMENTS...

Antonio, looking for R.J. down at the docks, was surprised as R.J. came
up from behind asking if he could 'help' Antonio...

At Asa's lodge, Todd watched as Cris paced the floor. Cris said that he
was trying to decide if he should turn Will in...

Lindsay...looking through some blood vials, found one with Matthew's name
and held it in her palm. Bo opened the door and asked her what she was
doing with it!
