Summary of their relationship for the year: Gabrielle shocks Max when she appears as Asa's bride and marries him. Gabrielle is determined to seek her revenge on Max for his abandonment of her and Al. Gabrielle sets her plan in motion to blame him for Asa's "death," but starts to have feelings for Max once again. As part of Gabrielle's and Asa's plan, she makes love to Max while being videotaped. This marks the turning point in their relationship when they both fall back in love. Gabrielle reveals part of Asa's plan to frame him for his death, but before they can do anything about it, Asa sets up his own plan of revenge against them both. Max and Gabrielle face prison if they can't prove themselves innocent.
