Walker tells Starr to pack, but she refuses to leave. She would never see her mom again, and the police would be after them forever. They worry that Blair already knows his identity, and Starr fears that her parents will never be together again. He tells her that everything will turn out okay.
At Rodi's, Al watches Michael. Al asks Luna how he's supposed to find out what's missing from Michael's life when Michael never talks to anyone. Michael yells for service, and Roxy apologizes for being slow, but she's filling in for Natalie. She worries because she doesn't know Nat's whereabouts, but Michael doesn't care about Roxy's problems. He wants to order.
At the cabin, Nat remembers a time she spent there with Cris. John finds her and tells her that Roxy is worried about her. She tells him she's not going back to Llanview, so don't even bother asking. He talks about his childhood during Christmastime after his dad died. He worries about his brother, Michael, who never quite learned how to have a good relationship with their mother.
At Rodi's, Marcie tells her brother about Michael saying that he's Al. Ron starts to confront Michael, but Marcie makes him sit back down. Marcie hears Michael being rude to Roxy, so she asks him why he can't leave Roxy alone. At first, Michael answers her brashly, but Al whispers something in his ear, and Michael apologizes to Marcie, saying that he doesn't know why he's so mean sometimes (selfless good deed #1). Later, Michael tells Roxy about a time that he spent Christmas completely alone as a child.
At the church, Kelly and Joey both talk about their failing marriages. She remembers a gift that she bought for Kevin two Christmases ago. He had been happy to receive the present, but later that day on Christmas, Kevin had found out that Kelly cheated on him. She hates that she ruined Christmas for him. As they speak, a small boy arrives in the church without his mother. Kelly leaves for Llanfair with the boy just as Jen arrives to speak with Joey.
Roxy tells Michael about a time when she lost so much money gambling that she couldn't afford to buy Nat a present. She didn't go home because she was afraid to see the look on Nat's face, so Nat spent Christmas alone at home.
Dorian brings Viki a Survivor's Handbook as a Christmas gift. Viki thanks Dorian for thinking of her, and they talk about some good Christmas memories. Viki gives Dorian a present too, and she asks Dorian to come back later and celebrate Christmas with them. Kevin talks to Jessica about the Christmas he found out Kelly was cheating. He says that their marriage is over, and it doesn't matter anymore.
Nat tells John about Roxy leaving her alone on Christmas, but she slips and says that "he" left her alone. John realizes that she's talking about Cristian. Deep down, she is angry at Cris for leaving her, and she says that he should have fought harder to get away from Flynn. She breaks down and falls into John's arms, and he holds her for a long time. He tells her that it's okay to forgive Cris. He says that no one should be alone on Christmas. He's taking her back to Llanview.
Joey tells Jen that he doesn't care what has happened. He just wants to get back to being happy. He asks her to go to London with him after Christmas so they can share some time together.
Dorian and David exchange gifts, but each accuses the other of giving an unwanted gift that they'd received from someone else. Afterward, their chemistry pulls them together into a real kiss. When the kiss is over, David pretends that it meant nothing, and he gives her his word that it will never happen again. However, as he walks away, they both turn around and fall into another steamy kiss.
