OLTL Recap for Friday, November 7, 2003

Lindsay and David visit Jen to give her a wedding gift which is a painting that represents the union of two souls, and Lindsay says that it’s perfect for Jen and Joe. Jen asks David what happened to his face, and he lies, saying that he intervened in a mugging and retrieved a woman’s purse. Haha! Jen asks Lindsay if the painting is really a wedding present or if Lindsay is trying to make a point.

Rex buys Roxy a pink convertible for her birthday, and she feels touched that he remembers. She feels bad for being a rotten mom, but he says that is the past and she has been good to him since he arrived in Llanview. She tells him that he needs a girl, but he says that Jen is the only girl for him. He does not care if Jen is married, because they belong together even if she won’t admit it.

Al begs Marcie to return to Angel Square, but she is upset about losing him all over again. He tells her that he cannot explain it, but they only have one chance. She does not understand, but he says that she will see him in someone else’s eyes and she will know that it’s him. Just as she leaves, River arrives wanting to discuss The Spirit of the Night. He detains her, but Al tells her she really has to go, so she tells River they will talk soon.

At the hospital, Michael feels so sick that he doesn’t realize when he grabs the wrong medication. Later, in Angel Square, he sees his mistake, but he collapses because he has an allergy to the medication that he swallowed. Luna arrives and whispers to him that his time has come.

John McBain visits Antonio’s apartment and says that Flynn is headed for Llanview. He tells Jessica that Ross regrets getting Natalie involved in Flynn’s operation and that Ross hates himself for what he did to Natalie. John also hates himself for what happened. John and Antonio leave to search for Flynn, and Antonio promises Jessica that he will return. As they leave, Natalie arrives.

At the penthouse, Flynn tells Blair that she has no idea who she has been living with, and he starts to tell her that Walker is really Todd. However, Walker enters and knocks him out, and Walker tells Blair to go upstairs and lock the door while he takes care of Flynn. They argue because she fears that Flynn will hurt him, but she goes upstairs, and Walker kicks Flynn while he’s down. Walker holds a gun and forces Flynn into the hallway, giving Flynn money and telling him never to return. Flynn is surprised that Walker is letting him go, but Walker says that a body would be just another thing he would have to hide. Antonio and John arrive, and Walker points the gun at them both. Without a word, he forces Flynn into the elevator and steps in himself. The door closes.

Natalie worries that Antonio and John won’t find Flynn, and Jessica tells her that they are doing everything they can. Natalie still feels angry, but Jess tells her that she should try to look past her anger, and Natalie realizes her anger will not bring Chris back. She gives Jessica an old painting that Chris painted of Jessica. Natalie also remembers the first painting that Chris had painted of her, and how she never realized that he thought she was beautiful until she first looked at that painting. Jessica tells her to hang onto that feeling, and Natalie tells her to never let go of Antonio.

Luna tells Al that Marcie is about to meet a young man whose time is up, and Al will assume this man’s body. However, there is a catch, and Al must make Marcie see him for himself by Valentine‘s Day or it‘s over, and she tells Al that he cannot say a word to Marcie.

Rex leaves the salon to go see Jen, and while he is outside, it almost seems that he feels Al’s and Luna’s presence in the air as he walks between them.

Marcie arrives in Angel Square and finds Michael on the ground, so she calls the ambulance. Al and Luna arrive, and Al realizes Michael’s body is the one his soul has to enter. He refuses because Marcie cannot stand Michael, but Luna tells him it’s his only shot and he has no other choice.
