    Profile and Biography of Susan Haskell:

    Susan began modeling at the age of 16 and appeared in national commercials for Oil of Olay and Burger King with her sister, Carolyn. She traveled around the world and is fluent in French. She attended the Conservatory of Music in Toronto where she studied ballet, piano and flute. Susan graduated from Tufts University in Boston in 1985 with a Bachelor of Science degree in biopsychology. Later, she decided to pursue acting while attending the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in 1991.

    Growing up, Susan’s mother provided shelter to troubled teens and the experience helped Susan prepare for her role as rape survivor Marty Saybrooke on One Life to Live. Soon after, she won an Emmy award for her groundbreaking performance. Susan’s first professional role was on My Secret Identity among several television and film roles during her career. Susan starred as a special guest character on the soap, Port Charles in 2001. She returned to her OLTL roots in 2008 as psychologist, Dr. Marty Saybrooke where she remains currently.

    Susan is a dedicated spokeswoman for Women in Shelter and The Brain Injury Association. She stays devoted to her knowledge of psychology and continues to read up on it when time permits and would someday like to obtain her Master’s degree in family therapy.

    Actively in sports, Susan enjoys running, skiing and playing golf. She and fellow actor/boyfriend, Thorsten Kaye met while both worked on One Life to Live. They share their home with daughters, McKenna and Marlowe.
