Overview and Biography of Robert S. Woods:
Mr. Woods graduated in 1966 from Lakewood High School in Lakewood, California. He later joined the U.S. Armed Forces and fought in the Vietnam War. In Long Beach, California, he graduated from California State University where he received a Broadcasting degree and was a Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity member. Mr. Woods studied at The Film Actors Workshop, The James Best Theatre Centre, The Directors Lab and The First Acting Company Workshop, to name a few. Robert’s big break was the television series, City of Angels in 1976.
He began his career on One Life to Live in 1979 originating the role of Bo Buchanan. His wife, Loyita appeared on OLTL over the years as well as his son, Tanner who played a young Bo in 2008 in a flashback to 1968. He left after six years on OLTL to pursue other avenues of interest then returned in 1988 while juggling other acting jobs.
Mr. Woods has appeared on numerous television series such as The Waltons, Roseanne and the soap opera, Days of Our Lives. He had a close friendship with his OLTL on-screen father, Phil Carey before his death in 2008. Mr. Woods resides in New York with his wife, Loyita.
