Profile and Biography of Hillary B. Smith:
Ms. Smith was born in Boston, Massachusetts and raised in Palm Beach, Florida. While attending Sarah Lawrence College, she went on to appear in many Broadway productions including The Heidi Chronicles. She began her career in television as Nurse Kit McCormick on The Doctors in 1982. One year later, she took over the role of Margo Montgomery Hughes on As the World Turns from 1983-1990.
Hillary is married to Philip Smith and they have two children together, Philip Webster Smith IV and Courtney. After Philip’s birth in 1988, she returned to daytime on One Life to Live in 1992, originating the role of tough-as-nails District Attorney Nora Hanen. Her character presently remains on the soap canvas.
While working on One Life to Live, Hilary worked simultaneously on the sitcom, Something Wilder as Annie Bergman alongside Gene Wilder. However, the series was cancelled in 1995 after one season.
