OLTL Episode Recap

From

Jared is preparing for his big proposal, Viki and Charlie still can’t believe that Jared is going to propose. Roxy overhears this and is elated over the news, in her own Roxy way she almost spills the secret when Natalie walks in but quickly covers saying that Viki and Charlie are getting married. Viki, Charlie and Roxy take off. Jared proposes to Natalie to which she says yes! Dorian watches as her girls (and boys) open their Christmas presents, she feels lucky to have such a great family. A surprise visit from Dorian’s guardian angel (Mel) prompts Dorian to do something un-Dorian and eat her words. But not before a package comes from Todd with Christmas presents for his children. Starr sees the presents and doesn’t want her but feels Sam and Jack should have theirs. While Sam and Jack open their gifts, Dorian takes off to run an errand.

Rex, Gigi and Shane return home from church. Shane is very excited about opening his presents, especially since he thinks he’s getting a Z-Box. Rex does his best to stall, with help from a few guests – Bo, Matt and Roxy. Bo and Matt show up first to exchange gifts with Gigi, Rex and Shane. Rex tells Bo he’s worried about letting Shane down, Bo tells Rex that Shane will mostly remember the time he spent with his family rather than some game. Roxy shows up with her gifts just as Matt and Bo are leaving. After Roxy takes off, Shane opens Rex’s gifts to find no Z-Box. Rex apologizes for not being able to get Shane the game, but Shane doesn’t seem to mind as he thanks Rex for all the presents and calls him “dad.” Gigi and Shane go get something to eat, meanwhile Dorian shows up at Rex’s house with a wrapped Z-Box and tells Rex to give it to Shane. When Gigi and Shane return, Rex lets Shane open the gift to reveal a Z-Box.

Marty, Nora and Cole begin their Christmas celebration. Marty gets Cole a collection of his favorite poems, while Cole gives Marty a picture from when they lived in California. Cole leaves to go over Starr’s house while Nora gives Marty a journal to write down things – hoping to jar her memory. When Marty receives the journal, all she can think about is the journal that Todd gave her to write in. Bo and Matt show up, Marty sneaks out. Bo is settling in when the doorbell rings – it’s Beaver Calhoun (Asa’s lawyer from Texas) here in Llanview with a message from Asa. Cole gives Starr a present, a cd with a collection of her favorite songs, they share Christmas together. Dorian returns home and begins to take everything in, she realizes that she’s blessed with such a great family.

Todd is dreaming about Marty when Tea interrupts him. Todd wants her to go away so he can sulk in his own misery, not wanting to celebrate Christmas. Tea, abruptly, tells Todd to knock off his stuff as she hands him a present – which turns out to be a sea shell Tea took from the island they were trapped on. Tea explains that it is to remind Todd of the person that he was – the person who would never give up when he knew what was right. Todd desperately wants Marty to forgive him, Tea tells Todd that he’s got to earn Marty’s forgiveness though she doesn’t see that happening. Tea leaves, Todd takes a shower and when he comes out finds Marty in the bedroom. Charlie and Viki end up at the Buenos Dias, wherein Charlie asks Viki how she liked pretending to be married. Viki explains that nothing in Llanview shocks her anymore. Just as she says this a familiar voice comes from behind. David Vickers…the human…returns to Llanview as a Buddhist. . .
