Sarah finds Layla and Talia and tells them what Cris did. Neither can believe Cris is going to marry someone that he doesn’t love. Talia exits the conversation, not wanting her status as a cop to interfere with her friendship with Sarah. Sarah believes that she’ll have to break up with Cris if he goes thru marrying Vanessa, both Talia and Layla agree. Cris goes to the Buenos Dias to find Antonio and Carlotta. Carlotta is shocked when Cris reveals he’s marrying Vanessa. Antonio sees right thru the charade, knowing Cris is marrying Vanessa to stop her from getting deported. Cris also tells Antonio of the death threat that Vanessa received before the trial. Antonio also suspects that Tea is involved somehow, which Cris confirms. Antonio reminds Cris to follow his heart, Sarah enters the Diner just as Antonio leaves.

Noelle spots Rex and goes to make chit-chat. Rex explains that he’s selling all of his personal items so that he can afford the Z-Box for Shane. Noelle tries to get Rex to see that Shane will love whatever Rex gets him for Christmas, but Rex explains that he wants this Christmas to be extra special for Shane. Rex finally acquires enough money, albeit selling his CD’s and television, to buy a Z-Box…however every store in Llanview is completely sold out. Blair runs into John before Todd’s trial, both try to figure out Tea’s angle in helping Todd. Blair wonders how many women in Todd’s past will come back to both help and haunt him. They make their way to the courthouse.

Meanwhile, Todd has a nightmare about Margaret wherein she reminds Todd of how much she loves him and about how they share a special connection because of the baby. Todd is stirred awake by a guard telling him that it’s time for court. Dorian is preparing her Christmas list while Moe is making breakfast. Cole and Starr enter the kitchen and explain to Dorian that they are both going to Todd’s trial today. Dorian doesn’t see the need for them to go, however she knows Starr has already made up her mind. Moe serves breakfast, Starr and Cole head to the courthouse. Dorian asks Moe to go Christmas shopping with her, Moe explains that he’s got everything he needs – a place to stay, something to cook and someone to love. Dorian is amazed that life could be that simple. Rex finds out that someone has Z-Box’s for sale on the street, but is too late to get one when the vendor sells his last game…to Dorian.

Marty finds Tea at the courthouse and wants to know how Tea could defend Todd – after all he’s done to her. Tea is impressed that Marty was able to look up the past and recall the facts, also explaining that Todd deserves a fair trial. Tea delivers a low blow to Marty about being gullible, Marty delivers back with a fist to Tea’s chin – which Nora sees. Nora calms Marty down as spectator’s begin to trickle in. John arrives with Blair, Cole arrives with Starr. Todd is brought in and tells Tea that he doesn’t want Marty on the stand. Tea convinces Todd that the only way to win is to put Marty on the witness stand. The judge enters the courtroom, immediately Tea calls for the charges against Todd to be dropped due to lack of evidence. Nora explains that she’s got both evidence and an eyewitness that can put Todd away for life. Tea wants to test the credibility of the witness and invites Marty to take the stand, which the judge agrees to. Marty is sworn in and Tea goes for the jugular…asking Marty if she loves Todd. . .
