At the courthouse, Cole verbally attacks Tea for her defending Todd. He tells her that Manning with destroy her or worse. She responds with lawyer jargon to the effect of no ones perfect. After Delgado exits the room, Cole and Starr argue about Tea representing the teens father. In another part of the courthouse, the judge for Vanessas deportation is not buying the sudden marriage plans of Ms. Montez and Cris. He reminds the group of immigration fraud and the implications if they are found guilty. Sarah looks on in shock as her boyfriend starts to throw his future away. Tea joins the group and apologizes to the judge for her tardy arrival. The attorney claims the couple is deeply in love and can prove that to the review board. The judge announces they have twenty four hours before the formal investigation and adjourns the hearing. Cris turns around to find what was Sarahs place in the pew, now empty. After the judge leaves, Tea advises the couple they will need to spend time together the next twenty-four hours learning everything they can about each other. She is smug that they can pull this off. Lola is thrilled that they will get to stay and heads off to find her cousin to share the good news. Tea cautions the couple again to rehearse their stories and be ready for the investigation. When Cris and Vanessa arrive his apartment, they run into Sarah departing. He begs to talk to his girl. He still loves her (Sarah). Nothing says I love you like marrying another woman! retorts the blonde.
Across town at Angel Square, Shane is bahhumbuging the appearance of Santa and lighting of the tree. Gigi laughs and tells Marcie hes almost a teen. Rex jumps up on Santas lap (Bo), says he believes in him and has a big list. The commish knocks him off his lap and invites them all to hot apple cider. Balsom takes Bo aside and asks his mentor if he has any work for him since hes short of cash for the holidays and wants to get the ZBox for Shane. The commish understands Matthew wants one too and reaches for his wallet, but proud Rex refuses a monetary handout.
At the mall, Nat is still snooping through Jared packages trying to find her gift. Her beau walks up and has a flashback of showing the engagement ring to baby Chloe. She justifies her nosiness saying that since its their first Christmas together, she doesnt want to over-do and under-do her gift giving to him. In another part of the mall, Langston and Marko wonder how the deportation hearing is going. After her dealings with the court system, Langston is pessimistic of what may happen to her newly found cousin and step-mom. After Cole and Starr join them, the group consensus is to go to Angel Square for the tree lighting.
Over at St. Anns, Brody and Tess are getting it on as Dr. Levin walks in. Brody tells the blonde he summoned the doctor. Tess then claims she was innocent in the tryst and that Lovett took advantage of her. She wants to press charges. She screams that Brody is the one who needs help since he hallucinates and thinks the boy from Iraq is there with him. Lovett explains that Jessica/Tess wanted him to sneak her out of St. Annes. Tess is not amused that her confidant has turned the tables on her! Tess throws a lamp and orders the doc to stay away from her. The shrink has the vet removed from the room. By now, Jess/Tess is hysterical and cries out she just wants to see her children. They finally get her restrained so the shrink can sedate her. Brody is seated leaning against the wall of the hallway outside her room. An orderly helps him up. As they walk away, the child from Iraq is seated and leaning against the opposite wall. Inside her room Jessica sleeps as Bess leaves her body, puts on her glasses, goes over to the lamp on the floor and returns it to its proper place. She then smoothes Jessies hair and two photos of her children fall to the floor.
Back at Angel Square, Santa lights the tree and gets a photo done with Chloe and Bree. Marcie then holds the newborn while Jared peeks at the engagement ring. Cole and Starr sadly look on watching Baby Chloe. Shane presents Rex and his mom with an ad for a Z Box. Rexs eyes enlarge when he sees the price of only $299.99. Lola arrives and all the teens share a group hug as she announces her news. Sarah dismally watches through the fence. Back at the apartment, Cris looks at a present he had wrapped for Sarah as Vanessa lurks in the background. In an empty courtroom, as Tea gathers her things, her cell phone rings. She is very pleased when she hears who the caller is and assures this person everything is going as planned and that she has them eating out the palm of her hand.
