First, Do No Harm - OLTL Recap for Thursday, December 4, 2008

Jess’ psychiatrist wants to talk to Tess, Jess lets Tess out. Tess has a fit over the new baby, saying that it isn’t hers or Jess’ and begs the doctor to let her out so she can find her real baby. The psychiatrist calms Tess down, she runs screaming out of his office and runs into Brody. Brody stops Tess from running, Tess begs Brody to help her escape. The psychiatrist is able to bring Bess out, wherein Bess tells him not to believe a word that Tess says because Tess’ baby is beautiful and healthy. Jess comes back out, the psychiatrist brings Jess back into his office and tells her what Tess said about the baby, Jess thinks is strange because that’s what Tess told Viki as well. Later on, Jess runs into Brody and apologizes for what he had to see, Brody says that an apology isn’t necessary and wish he could’ve helped.

Rex, Gigi and Shane go to Foxy Roxy’s to get Shane’s haircut for their first family Christmas card together, Shane explains that he thinks the idea is lame. Rex goes to talk to Roxy, Gigi gets to the real reason why Shane doesn’t want a family picture on their Christmas card – Shane doesn’t want Brody to see it because it might hurt him. Gigi promises to make a special card to send to Brody with just a picture of him and Shane.

Meanwhile, Rex watches as Roxy does Noelle’s hair – which is a little more “puffier” than Noelle would’ve liked. Roxy tells Noelle to relax, thinking that Moe will love it. Rex explains to Roxy about Shane, Noelle tells Rex to give it time because kids don’t like change all that much. Noelle goes to look at her new hairdo – which she doesn’t like but doesn’t have the heart to tell Roxy. Gigi brings Shane into Foxy Roxy’s wherein Shane agrees to have his picture taken.

Nora is looking for Dr. Joplin’s office when she hears a gunshot go off, Nora pokes around a little and finds Dr. Joplin dead in her office – Joplin committed suicide. Antonio shows up to investigate, he finds out that Starr was Joplin’s last appointment for the day. Antonio and Nora learn about the nature of the appointment and about how Joplin made it clear that it was her fault Starr’s baby died.

Meanwhile, Todd’s security guard rushes to investigate the gunshot. Todd sees his chance to escape, thwarted by a nurse, Todd learns that Joplin killed herself. Todd makes sure the coast is clear and makes another escape attempt, this time stopped by Nora, Antonio and another cop. Todd is placed under arrest and led out in handcuffs. Viki runs into Starr at the maternity ward, Starr wonders why her innocent baby died while her father, who isn’t innocent at all, still lives. Viki tells Starr it’s not nice to wish anyone dead, she also reminds Starr of how much Todd really does love all of his children _ despite all of his faults. Starr realizes that Todd does love her, in some way, Viki lets Starr hold Chloe – they seem to bond well. Todd runs into Starr holding the baby as he’s led into an elevator headed for a cell. Starr watches and gets upset, Viki tries to calm he down but Starr runs off.

Blair sees John and Marty at the Buenos Dias Diner, she is hesitant about going in until Dorian literally pushes her inside. Blair introduces herself to Marty, Marty wants to know the real truth about their past – Blair admits that she hated Marty because of Todd, but they got over their differences and were amicable to each other. Meanwhile, Dorian shares a fruit tart she “made” with Moe, who seems to really enjoy it. Dorian does her best to convince Moe to leave the shanty diner in Paris and work in a 5-Star restaurant. Moe goes to find Noelle to tell her that they are staying in Llanview. Marty knows that Blair isn’t really concerned about her well-being, the only thing Blair wants is info about her and John’s relationship. Dorian overhears the conversation and tells Marty that Blair has a right to know. Dorian asks John point-blank what his deal is with Marty. .
