One Life to Live Recap for Thursday, August 14, 2008

Jess is talking with Leo, the contractor, making the final arrangements for the room she is having built in the basement. Leo promises to make the room soundproof; Jess pays him an inordinate amount of money to get started that evening. Natalie and Jared bask in the bliss that is their relationship, each one thinking that they would never have ended up together. Natalie wants desperately to make it up to Jess for her part in Nash’s death, as does Jared. Jared believes that, in order to speed up the healing process and have Natalie and Jess become closer, he should move out. Natalie refuses to let him go, saying that they have a good thing going and she doesn’t want to ruin in.

Charlie finds Roxy talking to her stuffed gopher, Morris, lamenting over hurting Rex and hoping that he will call her soon to tell her that he’s ok. Roxy is mad at herself for lying to Rex, Charlie comforts her, and they are interrupted by John. Roxy explains that she knows he and Blair are together and is happy for them. Roxy tries to get John to delve into the personal details of their relationship, but Charlie intercedes. John heads up to his room, Charlie tells Roxy that whenever she needs someone to talk to he is right upstairs.

Blair fantasizes about John while pampering herself, Dorian notices something different in her niece and demands to know who the new man in her life is. After some aversion to answering the question, and trying to revert the conversation to Dorian’s feelings (or lack thereof) for Charlie, Blair admits that she and John are together. Dorian is elated and couldn’t be happier that Blair finally gets Todd out of her life for good.

Jared/Clint takes a swing at Bo/Asa for sending Natalie/Maria back to Mexico but misses and knocks Rex/Bo out cold. After some bickering between father and son, Nigel/Chuck and Professor Fina send the respective Buchanan members to their destinations – Jared/Clint back to the party and Bo/Asa & Rex/Bo to find the portal. Nigel/Chuck tells Jared/Clint that someday he will realize why Asa did what he did, even telling Jared/Clint that he will love again.

Meanwhile, back in 2008, Gigi and Delphina are searching for the time portal. Delphina is still having trouble reaching Professor Fina’s signals but feels that Rex is closer than they think. Gigi is very skeptical about being struck by lightening. Delphina tells Gigi that she must take this chance, not only for herself but for her son. Simultaneously, 40 years in the past, Fina is telling Bo and Rex the same thing. Rex is having reservations about being struck by lightening again, but feels that it’s better than staying in 1968. Concurrently, 40 years apart, Gigi and Rex & Bo get ready to be struck by lightening and be transported to their destinations. . .
