Tea, Where The Devil Are My Slippers? - OLTL Recap for Wednesday, July 1, 2009

At the cemetery, Brody sadly looks on as Jessica pours out her heart to Chloe’s tombstone. The vet presents Jess with a small teddy bear for the gravesite. She’s embarrassed that he heard her confessional of being the cause of Chloe’s death. Instead, he’s impressed with her soul searching and feels it will keep her sane and strong. They go back to his hotel room and kiss.

At Manning’s abode, Tea is sprawled out on the bed reading aloud her notes on Todd using such adjectives as “known liar” and psychopath.” He chuckles as he plops down on the bed next to her. He pretends that he’s come by to pick up his slippers. They banter over how each one has screwed up the other one’s life. He admits he can’t stand being away from her. However, when Tea refers to Blair as a slut, Todd comes to her defense since she’s the mother of his children. Delgado demands to know what she (herself) means to Todd. Manning stumbles through his admittance that he has strong feeling towards his former attorney. As he caresses her, she reaches for his slippers under the bed. They start to kiss and undress.

Over at Capricorn, Blair is finishing a song up as Layla joins Cris at the bar. He’s miffed that she’s meeting Fish for their second date in two days. Meanwhile, Kyle and ”Oliver” (as Kyle refers to him) are in the alley way of the club. Lewis wants to by his former frat brother a drink. When Fish brushes him off, Kyle hints the cop is hiding something from his past. Back inside as Rachel looks on, Shaun spills the beans over Greg standing up his little sister to be with his date instead. The date is disgusted and leaves the club. Shaun tells Greg to stay away from Destiny! While Cris is tending tables, Blair tells Layla that Vega is very jealous of the roommate’s time with Fish. Later, when Cris stares across the room at Fish and Layla having a good time, Blair suggests to Cris that he “check his ego at the door and ask Layla out.” Fish tells Layla how 14th century his father is and doesn’t know how he’ll feel when he finds his son has a girl partner at work should she get the job at the police station. Out of the corner of his eye, he catches Kyle smiling from the bar. Lewis salutes him with a drink. Fish kisses his date as Blair points out the latest development to her bartender.

Across town at the cottage, Rex, Gigi, Natalie and Jared try to figure out who has the most to gain with having the blood from the mysterious “dead” donor. When Marasco suggests contacting Bo and letting him in on the events with Stacy’s deception, Rex plays devil’s advocate and worries that she can get around all the charges. He instead suggests pretending that she won him. He’s in hopes she’ll let her guard down. Gigi is not happy with that suggestion. Rex thanks his sister and Jared for talking Gigi into telling him the truth. Nat is glad she did before the wicked sister got her claws into Rex. Balsom has a flashback of making love on the mats at Ultra Violet. Natalie and Jared head off to the main house for some hot love making since they never had a wedding night. Rex again tells his girlfriend he sure wishes she had trusted him and told him the truth months ago. Before Rex heads back to his apartment to start the entrapment, they agree that Shane will not be told until the blood is found. He gently kisses her goodbye.

Stacy is surprised when Nurse Charles presents her with the bag of blood. When Stacy tries to get rid of her, the nurse explains that her boss wants to help her out since she may need the stem cells if Shane should need another transfusion. She explains it must stay refrigerated. Nurse Charles leaves as Stacy frantically tries to find a hiding place for the bag of blood. Not too much later, Rex arrives. Stacy greets him with a kiss then retires to the bedroom to get into something comfortable. Balsom quickly rifles through the refrigerator to no avail. The former stripper comes back in the room scantily clad. Rex feigns a headache and goes to bed.

As Blair sings “How Do We Get Untangled” at Capricorn, Fish takes Layla’s hand as Kyle and Cris both look on. Shaun and Rachel watch Greg disgustedly depart. As the music continues, Natalie and Jared are seen holding each other on the floor of the Llanfair bedroom with pillows strewn about. Stacy climbs into bed next to Rex who’s pretending to be asleep. Across town, Gigi takes a burgundy game jersey which says Balsom and clings to it. Meanwhile at Angel Square Lovett and Jessica comfort and hold each other in his bed. Back at Manning’s, a naked Tea is curled around Todd in the bed. He’s still in his bedroom slippers.
