Pomps & Circumstance - OLTL Recap for Friday, June 12, 2009

Dorian is taking out her frustrations over Ray leaving on Noelle and Moe – who are just trying to accommodate Dorian’s every whim. Everywhere Dorian goes – she is seeing happy couples – starting with Moe & Noelle and then seeing Starr & Cole. Cole realizes the time and has to rush to get to the graduation, which Starr promises to be at. Viki, Charlie, Nora and Clint meet for drinks – wherein Viki reveals that she and Charlie are engaged and Clint reveals that he and Nora finally set a date. Renee brings over champagne to toast. Again, Dorian runs into both happy couples and is beginning to feel more miserable. Renee hears the tune of a double wedding when Viki & Charlie and Nora & Clint realized that their wedding dates fall on the same day – the last day in July. Marcie overhears Langston telling Markko about her earlier conversation with Starr, Marcie rushes over to her seat before she can be seen eavesdropping. Mike overhears Markko talking to Langston about the graduation and Mike reminds Marcie that it’s almost time to go. Mike stays at the Buenos Dias while Marcie attends the graduation ceremony.

Marty rushes into the gym looking for Cole, who isn’t there yet. Marty sees Rachel, hoping to find Cole, however Rachel has yet to stop Cole. Marty explains that she was just served a subpoena and has to be in court. Rachel promises to explain to Cole, Marty promises to do her best to return before Cole graduates. Langston and Starr arrive and are anxious to see Markko and Cole graduate. Markko’s parents, who were overly critical of the choice of dress Langston chose to wear, are there to support their son as he was named Valedictorian. Rachel finds Cole and tells him about Marty, she also asks how both Cole and Starr are feeling. Starr explains that it was harder than she though giving Hope up for adoption, Marcie overhears the entire conversation and begins to think that she and Mike made a mistake.

Meanwhile, Todd & Blair begin a bitter custody case. Todd pulls all the punches when Marty shows up to testify. She does more harm than good when testifying for Todd – carefully crafting her words as if not to commit perjury – Marty explains that she doesn’t have an intimate relationship with John nor does she know the reasons behind John and Blair’s marriage. Morgan, Todd’s lawyer, explains that he’s losing the case – unless Todd can come up with proof that John and Blair’s marriage was that of convenience. Marty rushes to the graduation, Blair tells John to go be with Marty. Todd tells Morgan that he’s got another witness who can testify against Blair – just as the judge is about to rule, Todd’s other witness shows up. Markko begins his Valedictorian speech – reminiscing about freshmen years and looking ahead to the future. After the speech, each graduate is called up. Cole continually looks back, hoping to see Marty. Just as his name is about to be called, both John and Marty show up to see him graduate. After the ceremony, Cole explains that he needs to be alone. Marcie sneaks out and returns to Mike and Hope. Mike can see that something is up with Marcie, Marcie explains that they need to talk. After sees Mike and Marcie with Hope, Cole ends up at the docks contemplating his next move. As he turns to leave, Cole runs into Asher. Dorian, who is throwing a pool party for the new graduates, is surrounded by happy couples (Langston & Markko, Moe & Noelle, Shaun & Rachel). Starr is searching for Cole and is worried when he doesn’t show up. She hears the doorbell and thinks it’s Cole. Starr rushes to the door, only to open it and find Marcie standing on the other side with Hope. . .
