Promises to Keep - OLTL Recap for Thursday, June 11, 2009

Natalie finds Jessica crying over Chloe’s crib, after calming Jess down Natalie explains that she and Jared knew about Chloe being Hope months ago and feared telling Jess because of what it might’ve done. Jess is touched that Natalie was protecting her, even after what Tess did. Jess wants to go to Marcie to apologize but Natalie doesn’t feel that’s a good idea and offers to go to Marcie for Jess. Stacey listens to Shane’s message and then deletes it before Rex can hear it. Before rushing to work, Rex gives Stacey a set of keys to UV so she can start her dance studio.

A few minutes after Rex leaves, Shane shows up wanting to talk with Rex. Stacey cons Shane into telling her why he’s there – Shane is there to talk to Rex about what he overheard Gigi tell Schuyler. Stacey convinces Shane that Gigi was lying to Schuyler and also convinces Shane not to tell Rex what he overheard. Gigi is working with Brody, she can see that he’s distraught and asks about Jess. Brody hasn’t heard from her in a while and changes the subject, Gigi explains that she might have the proof she needs to nail Stacey. Rex walks in on Brody hugging Gigi and comes to the conclusion that Gigi and Brody are back together. Rex talks with Gigi privately about when each of them is going to Shane’s concert (Shane plays the drums). Gigi thinks its horrible that they can’t be in the same room, even for Shane’s sake. When Rex returns home, he finds Shane talking with Stacey. Shane comes up with a quick lie and tells Rex he’s there to invite Stacey to the concert.

Back at Rodi’s, Brody is surprised to see Jess walk in, with Bree in hand. Jess explains that she’s doing as best she can, considering. Jess spends time with Brody and Bree, making things a little easier for her. Meanwhile, Gigi calls Schuyler to see if he’s gotten the results back from the lab. Marcie and Mike are elated to have Hope in their home. Marcie can’t help but feel that she took something away from Starr, even while Mike tries to convince her that it was Starr’s decision to let them adopt Hope. Natalie stops by to talk with Marcie, wherein she reveals that she and Jared knew months ago about Chloe’s real identity. Natalie gives the reasons why she didn’t say anything, Mike and Marcie say that they understand why Natalie did what she did. Natalie starts to leave, but realizes that she’s having a tougher time saying goodbye to Hope than she realized.

Cole goes to see Markko, to tell him about being able to graduate. Markko asks about Hope, Cole explains that he really misses Hope and he misses being with Starr even more. Markko convinces Cole that he’s got to tell Starr how he feels. Langston sees Starr lamenting over the adoption, Starr breaks down – saying that she almost didn’t sign the adoption papers, now she misses Hope so much but she couldn’t go back on her promise to Marcie. Cole shows up, Langston takes off. Cole asks Starr to attend the graduation, feeling that seeing Starr would help him get thru it a little better. Both Starr and Cole admit to missing the baby and each other, they share a kiss. Meanwhile, Marcie and Mike take Hope to the Buenos Dias for lunch. Langston is there and she is telling Markko about her conversation with Starr. Marcie overhears the entire thing – even the part where Langston says that Starr only let Marcie adopt Hope because of that promise that they made. Marcie begins to think that Starr should raise Hope. . .
