The Waiting is the Hardest Part - OLTL Recap for Thursday, June 4, 2009

Gigi and Schuyler are shocked to find Stacey and Rex home, Gigi is more shocked to find Stacey in bed with Rex. Rex demands to know why they broke into his loft, Gigi comes up with an excuse. Rex and Schuyler get into it after Rex comes to the conclusion that Schuyler is taking advantage of Gigi. Meanwhile, Gigi and Stacey are having their own little tiff – complete with hair pulling and scratching – in the living room. Rex pulls Gigi off of Stacey, demands his key back, then throws her out. Schuyler is upset that they won’t be able to get Stacey’s toothbrush (which they wanted for DNA comparison). Gigi holds a lock of Stacey’s blond hair, which she procured from their little fight – all hope is not lost.

Cris and Layla run an ad for another roommate. Fish, unknowingly, shows up to hand in his application for the room in Cris and Layla’s apartment. Layla is totally against the idea. Cris, however, feels good about letting Fish move in. After some coaxing from Cris, and a demonstration of his how-to abilities, Layla gives the ok for Fish to move in. Moe and Noelle prepare a feast for Cole, Starr, Langston and Markko while they wait for the return of Hope. Noelle makes mention, several times, of the fact that Marcie will be raising the child – however, that’s a subject neither Cole nor Starr intend to bring up or discuss in the near future. Markko quickly changes the subject, all are surprised when Matt shows up – who heard the news and wanted to see how Starr was doing. Matt calls Bo to get the scoop from him regarding the situation and Bo fills Matt in on all that he can. Matt relays the information – both Starr and Cole are elated that Jess and Hope are unhurt. They all sit vigil and await for word that Hope and jess are on their way home. Shaun strikes up a conversation with Rachel, who brought Matt to Dorian’s house. Shaun and Rachel are interrupted when Destiny comes in, Rachel steps outside to give them time to talk. Destiny admits that she’s contacted their brother, Greg, and he’s agreed to come to Llanview to see if he can help Matt. Shaun explains that Greg doesn’t think about anyone but himself and tells Destiny not to get her hopes up. Destiny runs into Matt, who admits that he’s having trouble with math and their final is tomorrow. Destiny offers to tutor him, which Matt accepts. Shaun and Rachel resume their conversation, which ends with Shaun asking Rachel on a date – to which Rachel gladly accepts.

Clint is getting antsy, feeling helpless in this situation. Bo compares his situation with Matt – because he too feels helpless – saying that sometimes it’s better to stand back and let someone else help. Brody is surprised that Natalie and Jared are being so kind to him. Natalie explains that she’ll always be grateful for Brody locating Jess and the baby. Brody explains that he’s in love with Jess and will stand by her side. Charlie can see that Clint is very uneasy, Charlie talks to Clint which seems to calm Clint down a little. Meanwhile, Jess is rehashing the painful memories of losing her child. Viki gets Jess to remember, and more importantly to feel, the tremendous loss. Jess knows that her baby is dead and that Chloe is really Starr’s baby. Downstairs, Bo tells Clint that the FBI is on their way. Clint goes up to see if he can speed things along. When he arrives, Jess is holding Chloe – saying goodbye to her – while Viki explains that Jess remembers everything. Viki takes Hope downstairs, where she is escorted outside by Bo. Charlie, Natalie and Jared watch as Clint helps Jess down the stairs. All can see that Jess has a dazed look about her face as Clint leads her out the door and tells Jess that he’s taking her home. . .
