Found & Lost - OLTL Recap for Friday, May 29, 2009

After threatening her life, Stan tells Stacey to meet him at the park with his money. Rex returns home and can see that Stacey is distraught, hoping to ease the tension he reveals that he borrowed $20,000 from U.V. in order to bankroll Stacey’s debt. Stacey can’t believe that Rex borrowed against his club, Rex begins to rethink his position and then tells Stacey that he’ll take care of Stan – without giving him the money. Stacey calls Stan, when Rex leaves, to tell him to come to Rex’s loft. Stan shows up, grabs his money and wants to get as far away from Stacey as he can. Stacey, however, asks him one favor before he leaves – punch her in the face. Gigi and Schuyler go to the lab in order to get the evidence that would expose Stacey’s secret – they plan to get copies of the DNA results from both Shane and Stacey to prove that they don’t match. Kyle, however, sees Gigi and Schuyler in action and is able to thwart their attempts by quickly changing the DNA results via computer. Schuyler sees Kyle and becomes increasingly suspicious, he gets an idea – have Stacey’s blood (which he still has in the freezer) tested at another lab. Gigi and Schuyler walk through the park, Gigi is happy that she’ll finally be able to tell Rex the truth. Rex, who is in the park waiting for Stan, sees Gigi with Schuyler and asks why they are together.

John tells Mike and Marcie the entire story – from the moment Dr. Joplin brought the baby into her office to the time Bess switched the babies. Marcie can’t believe that Jess would allow Cole and Starr to grieve for a baby that isn’t even theirs. Mike reminds Marcie that Jess is very sick, John explains that Bess is actually the one who switched the babies. After John leaves, Marcie begins to think about becoming a mother again (she then remembers that her decision to adopt the baby was what torn her and Mike apart). Meanwhile, Marty, Blair and Todd break the news as gently as they can to Cole and Starr. Cole and Starr are ecstatic that their baby is alive, Starr demands to know what happened to Hope. Todd explains that Jess wasn’t herself when she switched the babies. Starr is even more excited because she realizes that she’s held Chloe before – in effect, she’s held her own baby. Her excitement fades when she realizes that Jess has kidnapped the baby and is on the run. Blair explains that Bo and John are on the case and Jess should be coming home soon. Cole and Starr excuse themselves to talk, wherein Cole knows that they will get thru this because they are together. They hug, Marty sees them hugging, they quickly break their embrace and act as though it didn’t happen. Starr calls Mike and Marcie to invite them over so they can all be together when Hope returns home.

John arrives to say that there is no news as of yet. John, Blair, Marty, Starr, Cole, Mike, Marcie and Todd (who is less than thrilled that Mike and Marcie are present) all await for word from Bo – all hoping that Hope is returned soon and safe. Meanwhile, Brody is getting closer to Jess’ location – finding the car dealership Jess sold her car too. Brody looks at a map to see if something jars his memory – which it does, a place called Morganville – Brody remembers Jess talking about visiting Nash’s parents who live there. Bess overhears Cindy and Phil lamenting over whether or not to call regarding Jess and the baby. Bess breaks up their discussing and convinces them not to call the number – explaining that Viki will put her in a mental hospital if she returns. Phil and Cindy, thinking they can finally do right by Nash, decide not to call the number. While they are preparing dinner, Bess sneaks upstairs and readies Hope as they are about to run away. Bess tries to sneak out without saying goodbye, however, when she opens the door Brody is standing there. . .
