I Want to be Sedated - OLTL Recap for Friday, May 8, 2009

Starr and Cole go to see Bo. Cole, however, is seeing Bo for the first time since Matt’s accident and doesn’t know how Bo will react. Meanwhile, Nora and Bo are trying to avoid each other but inevitably run into one another. Bo feels the need to talk about what happened in the car. Cole and Starr interrupt. First, Cole apologizes for what he did and promises to stay sober then they ask both Bo and Nora to speed up the exhumation process. Bo and Nora promise to help them, Nora takes Cole aside and commends him for trying to stay clean. After they leave, Nora agrees with Bo – they need to talk. Matt is watching the other kids play basketball; Destiny comes over and ignores Matt. Matt tries to say that he’s sorry but Destiny is playing hard to get. Justin and Becca feel the need to continually torment Matt about his handicap, which enrages Destiny and she sticks up for Matt. Destiny chases Justin and Becca away, Matt asks Destiny to be his friend again – to which Destiny agrees, if Matt comes to the prom.

Markko and Langston are excited for “Operation De-Flower.” However, Langston is put off when she finds out that Markko still hasn’t made a trip to the drugstore. Lola overhears their entire conversation – from booking a room at the Palace to their first time together. Langston sees Lola and knows that she’s up to something, Markko relaxes Langston and promises that nothing will ruin their night. Lola rushes home and turns on the innocent act for Dorian, who is frantically trying to reach Blair. Dorian can see that Lola is upset and Lola tells Dorian all about “Operation De-Flower.” Dorian is enraged and immediately tries to find Langston. Langston arrives home and tries to call Starr, who is just coming in the door. Starr can see something different in Langston as Langston tells Starr that she and Markko are going to go all the way tonight. Dorian overhears this and simply replies, “Not if I have anything to do with it.”

Todd, Tea and Blair are shocked to receive invitations to a KAD Spring Fling and each deduces that the killer sent the invites. Blair becomes lightheaded and passes out, Tea starts to call 9-1-1 but she passes out. Todd tries to grab the phone but falls down before he can make a call. Jack comes downstairs to find Todd, Tea and Blair laying unconscious on the floor. John, who kept his cell phone, calls Marty to see if she’s ok. Marty is lightheaded as well and goes in and out of consciousness; she hears the door and opens it to find Powell standing there. Marty passes out. Rebecca sees that John has a phone and goes in to take it from him, when she enters John pulls a gun on her. Rebecca immediately screams and 2 orderlies come running and subdue John – who is beginning to succumb to the effects of the chemicals that Rebecca, laced the envelopes with (botchilism). John tries to explain that Powell killed Kwon, however Rebecca gains the upper hand being the “doctor” and explains that John escaped from jail and is wanted on 3 counts of murder – holding up a “Wanted” sign for effect. The orderlies put John in a straightjacket. John pleads with one of the orderlies, Neil, to call Bo at the Llanview Police Department but John passes out.

Meanwhile, Powell quickly subdues Marty, who is still falling in and out of consciousness. Rebecca shows up, both are excited that their plan is working flawlessly. After proclaiming their love for each other, Rebecca and Powell carry Marty’s limp body out of the hotel room. Rebecca asks what the next phase of their plan is. Powel coolly replies, “I have to finish what I started years ago.”
