Never Lose Hope - OLTL Recap for Wednesday, May 6, 2009

At the cottage Rex and Gigi share a passionate kiss until Balsom suddenly pulls away telling his gal she can’t have it both ways. He tells her he’s dying inside and can’t understand why she’d leave him for Brody. Without any explanation, she runs off to work. Nat comes in and finds a somber Rex on the stairs. She is worried about him coming to her wedding and has decided to “un-ask” Gigi to be her bridesmaid. Rex feels someone is working voodoo on his girlfriend. Nat thinks that Lovett is just doing to Jessica what Gigi did to Rex.

Meanwhile at Rex’s apartment, Stacey “accidentally” spills the beans to Shane that Gigi recently slept with Brody. The boy reacts by throwing things on the floor and announcing he loves his Dad. Shane leaves to confront his mother. There’s a knock at the door and a guy from Vegas with a score to settle verbally roughs up Stacey. He sees the family portrait of Rex, Gigi and Shane and when she claims they broke up, he accuses of her of being a home wrecker.

At Rodi’s, Lovett thanks the bartender for giving him his job back. He then spots Jess entering with her family. They stage her slapping him so no one will be on to their current tryst. After Jared blocks Brody from Jess and Charlie offers to get the message across to the vet, Viki winks at Brody. He later texts Jessica and says, “Ouch. Was that foreplay?” She smiles and pretends it’s a message from Natalie’s florist. Later, she makes way to Lovett’s motel room and they kiss passionately. After making love, they discuss how their affair must remain a secret in case Shane needs another cell transplant from Stacey. Jess goes into the bathroom to shower right as Rex bursts in! Balsom assumes it’s Gigi in the shower, yells to her that she’s a slut, punches Brody in the gut and storms out!

Over at Llanview High, Marcie gives the class time to do their assignment since prom is tonight. Markko and Langston giggle as they text message back and forth about the planned “Operation Deflower” event occurring tonight. Their whispers get louder as Langston finds out Markko hasn’t purchased condoms yet. Some of the class giggles so Marcie asks the couple if there something they want to share with the group. Later in the hallway, Markko admits to his gal he’s embarrassed about buying condoms as Lola eavesdrops on the private conversation!

At the hospital, Starr and Cole are shocked when Kyle tells them that they are not the biological parents of the baby whose hair he tested. Starr feels that the hair was the only piece left of their baby and now it’s gone! After the teens leave, Kyle flashes back to the day when Natalie and Jared brought a baby’s lock of hair to be sampled for DNA. He does a search on the Internet and the headline reads, “Heiress Flees Death Trap as Captor Gives Birth.” He makes an entry in the computer, flashes back to Starr and Cole’s visit as the computer pop up screen says “Match.”

Back at Rodi’s, Gigi arrives late to work and Nat pounces on her with the news she’s no longer her bridesmaid. Then Shane comes in and publically asks his Mom if she cheated on Rex with Brody. The patrons listen as Gigi admits to her son that she did. Shane announces he’s moving in with his Dad. While Viki feels sorry for the brunette, Nat feels she’s getting what’s coming to her! The redhead’s phone rings and it’s Kyle wanting to see them ASAP! Nat excuses herself and Jared to go see the caterer about filling. When they get to the hospital, the med student announces he’s on to Jessica stealing Starr’s baby!

At the cottage, Shane packs his things and tells his Mom he hates her. Over at Rex’s apartment, the guy from Vegas wants the money she stole from him and now! He threatens to rough up the kid and leaves! Rex comes in all upset from what started out a great morning kissing Gigi to more betrayal with Lovett. He wonders how his girlfriend would feel if the same thing happened to her! Balsom grabs Stacey and passionately kisses the blonde!
