Nora and Bo stake out Matt’s school, just to make sure that he’s going to be ok. Nora and Bo grow closer as the two grieving parents understand how the other feels about the situation. Unknown to them, their attraction heats up as they gaze into each other’s eyes and go in for a kiss. Meanwhile, Matt arrives to his first class with Marcie as teacher and Destiny there to cheer him up. Destiny tells Matt what she told Justin and Becca, Matt is upset with Destiny as they have a little tiff. Destiny sits far away from Matt, Justin tells Becca that Matt can’t legally sue them – so they can drop their act. As the class assembles, Justin takes every opportunity to throw a dig in at Matt about him being in a wheelchair. Marcie puts an end to Justin’s behavior as Matt realized that Justin and Becca were just playing him and he had a fight with a true friend.

Todd arrives at Dorian’s to take the kids, Dorian is completely against it. Starr freaks out, telling Todd that she doesn’t want to go with him. Todd doesn’t care what she wants, the fact is that he won custody and he’ll be taking all of his children home with him. Todd wants to leave immediately, however Tea convinces Todd to give the children 5 minutes to gather some of their belongings. Ray suggests that Tea file an injunction, Tea, however, thinks it would be fruitless. Dorian chastises Todd for uprooting his children when La Boulaie is the only home they’ve ever known. Todd doesn’t listen to Dorian as he begins to pack up Sam’s toys.

Meanwhile, Starr returns to Cole – who has been calling out for Starr ever since she left. Starr explains that Todd is there and has won custody of her and she needs to go. Cole is scared to be alone, feeling the only way he can get thru detoxing is if Starr was by his side. Starr apologizes for having to leave, Todd begins pounding on the door threatening to break it down if Starr doesn’t come out soon. Tea tries to mend fences with Dorian. However, Dorian thinks it Tea’s fault for the judge siding with Todd. Tea goes up to check on Todd and finds him threatening to Break down Starr’s door, Tea advises him against it. Todd calms down and asks Starr, nicely, to come out. Starr tells Cole that she will find someway to get back to him and reassures him that he can complete the detox. Starr, reluctantly, leaves with Todd as Dorian and Ray watch Starr, Jack and Sam leave the house.

Ms. Kwon returns and tells John and Marty that they are cleared to see Powell, however only one can visit him at a time. After some bickering, John lets Marty go see Powell first. Ms. Kwon leads Marty to Powell’s cell and warns her that Powell is heavily medicated. Marty sees Powell for the first time in years, Powell recognizes her face but doesn’t exactly know who Marty is. The psychiatrist in Marty comes out and she learns that Powell knows who he is and knows that he used to hurt women – but promises he won’t do it again if he ever gets out for good. Marty senses something off about him and leaves the cell. John takes this opportunity to research, on Ms. Kwon’s computer, Powell. John is confused when he searches Powell’s name in the institute’s database and comes up with nothing. John finds hard copies of Powell’s files and shoves them into his jacket just as Ms. Kwon and Marty return. Ms. Kwon tells John that he’ll have to come back another day as Powell has had enough excitement for the day. Back at their hotel, John asks Marty how the visit went. Marty tells John everything that’s happened. John explains that he found some interesting news as well – John found Powell’s sign out sheet and realizes that Powell has been repeated signed out by the same doctor. The dates that Powell has been signed out coincide with each stabbing. Marty is as shocked as John was when she sees that her names has been used to sign Powell out. . .
