It’s All Wrong But It’s All Right - OLTL Recap for Wednesday, April 29th, 2009

Jack bangs on Starr’s bedroom door looking for his MP Player. She feigns a need to throw-up and he runs off. Cole is huddled against the bed shivering. Rachel calls his cell and tells him she knows he didn’t sleep at the rehab house last night and he’d better be with his mother. Nora joins Rachel and asks her if she’s covering for Cole. Her daughter is not appreciative of the DA eavesdropping on her calls. Rachel defends Cole saying that he’s a sick addict just like she was and she’s giving him a chance. Clint and Matt join them. Nora asks her son what he thinks of Rachel helping the boy who paralyzed him. Matthew is fine with it and appreciates his sister’s stance. In another part of the house, Bo convinces Fish that he’s on John’s side and he needs any information on what Fish and McBain were working on prior to his quick exit. The family gathers together later as Matt opens a gift from his half-brother, David. When it’s a supply of “Have a Seat,” the teen jokes that it must be “because he sits on his butt all day.” The boy starts to wheel out and when Nora tries to help him, he stops her. Bo puts an arm around the rejected woman as Clint looks on.

At motel room in Rochester, Marty, still in her bathrobe, questions John about their security when she sees a chair propped against the door. When McBain gets ready to leave for Sidwell Institute, a sanitarium where Powell Lord is a patient, Marty grabs his keys and states he’s not going without her. She quickly dresses and they depart for the sanitarium.

In Tea’s suite at the hotel, she bolts out of bed when she hears her alarm and curses for oversleeping. Todd is lying next to her in bliss. They continue their lovemaking sessions, leaving Tea breathless each time. The Sun arrives and Todd flaunts the headline about McBain skipping town. Tea’s not worried as she feels the opposition got his law degree from a place “off the back of a matchbook.”

Meanwhile at LaBoulaie, Dorian is fit to be tied since Delgado is not taking calls. The custody trial is within an hour! Jack needs help with a school project so Ray takes on the task while the matriarch heads out to Delgado’s hotel room. When she gets there, she is appalled that her attorney is still not dressed with the trial thirty minutes from starting! Manning is clearly amused as he hides behind the door stroking Tea’s hidden arm. Dorian figures out the attorney has company and assumes it is RJ Gannon.

Up in Starr’s room, Cole’s experiencing major withdrawal. Starr is frightened as her friend breaks out in cold sweats and thinks he has bugs crawling on him. Thornhart begs her to go to his Mom’s room and get him some pills. She refuses as she doesn’t want any part of making him fail his drug test later that day. Instead, she talks about their history, all the good moments and bad, and tells him she still loves him and doesn’t want to give up on him. She tearfully embraces him and promises him nothing bad will happen to him.

Over at the Courthouse, Delgado is shocked to find a different judge on the docket and she hadn’t been advised. Manning snickers and says it must be since her calls were being held at the hotel. She requests a delay which is denied and Todd is awarded custody of his kids since the step-dad has skipped town and the two aunts’ history is questionable when it comes to raising a family.

Back at LaBoulaie, Dorian rejoins Ray and Jack. She explains the hearing is closed so she can’t attend. The youngster text messages his Dad to “Get me out of here!” Within the hour, Manning is there demanding his children. Dorian is shocked and demands answers from her attorney. Starr, who’s passing through, getting an orange juice for Cole, is not happy with the revelation of going to live with her Dad.

At Sidwell Institute, McBain introduces them as Kevin and Jessica Buchanan, Powell’s cousins. When the receptionist claims he rarely has visitors and why they’re just now showing up, John claims they’re there to forgive him for his past behavior. The clerk asks for IDs and McBain obliges. As she leaves to get them cleared by security, a picture of John and Marty with story of the escaped fugitives, pop up on the receptionist’s laptop!
