Stab Me Once, Shame on You - OLTL Recap for Friday, April 24, 2009

Fish is standing outside John’s room at Angel Square, just in case he should happen to return. He hears something inside and rushes into the apartment, only to find it empty – John has taken the photo and the knife with him. Starr and Cole agree to work together to find out what happened to Hope. Starr suggests that they use the hair in her locket to do a genetic test, Cole thinks it’s better than exhuming Hope. They go to the lab, where they meet Kyle and ask him to test Hope’s DNA with theirs. Kyle thinks it strange that two different couples came into his clinic in less than a month wondering the same thing. Starr notices that Cole is sweating and acting funny, she thinks that he’s getting sick. However, Cole is beginning to go thru withdrawal symptoms. Cole sneaks a bottle of pills in the coat while Starr isn’t looking. While Starr is preoccupied, Cole laments over taking the pills – he opts to put them back. Jess meets Jared and inquires about where Natalie is. Jared explains that Natalie is running late because she’s going to talk to Brody. Jess can’t believe that Natalie would do that and rushes over to Brody’s.

Meanwhile, Gigi runs into Rex at the Angel Square Hotel. He is carrying flowers for Stacy, from Shane. Gigi, however, thinks that Stacy is getting to Rex. Rex explains that he doesn’t want a confrontation with Gigi, he goes up to see Stacy. Meanwhile, Roxy pulls Gigi aside and tries to convince her that telling Rex would be beneficial for everyone – except Stacy, but she doesn’t deserve to be happy after what she did. Gigi is skeptical about reneging on a promise, especially one she made to God. Roxy doesn’t think that God would take away Rex to save Shane. Gigi gets up the nerve and vows to tell Rex the truth ASAP. Schuyler shows Stacy the bag of blood he took from her hospital room, Stacy tries to think of something to cover for herself but comes up with nothing. Their conversation is interrupted by Rex, Stacy begs Schuyler not to say anything to Rex. Rex comes into the apartment, Stacy thinks the flowers are from him but Rex quickly corrects her. Schuyler sends Stacy to the kitchen for something, while Stacy is preoccupied Schuyler tries to hint around the fact that Stacy is up to something. Before Rex can catch on, Stacy returns. Rex senses that he’s interrupting something and takes it as his cue to leave. Stacy sees him out and hugs him in the hall, Stacy hugs him tighter when she sees Gigi watches. Gigi walks away, rethinking her position. Schuyler comes out into the hallway and sees them hugging. He takes this opportunity to show Rex the bag of blood with Stacy’s name on it.

As soon as Brody opens the door, Natalie slugs him right in the gut. Brody, who doesn’t even know Natalie, is taken aback. Natalie sticks up for Jess, saying that Jess really liked Brody and for Brody to do what he did was despicable. Jess interrupts their argument. Jared shows up to stop Natalie, but he’s too late. Jared coaxes Natalie out of the room so that Brody and Jess can talk. Jess apologizes for Natalie’s actions, Brody thinks it’s great that Jess has a sister like that. Gigi is outside the door, listening to the conversation. Brody and Jess admit that they have feelings for each other but Jess can’t get over Brody sleeping with Gigi. Gigi bursts in and tells Brody to tell Jessica the truth. Roxy talks with Morris, asking what she can do to keep Rex’s father hidden now that he shows signs of improvement. Morris “tells” Roxy to pull the plug on him.

John goes to see Marty, wherein he tells her that he’s going to look for the killer and find him/her before they kill again. Marty wants to help John, however John wants to put her in a safe house after finding the picture – which he shows her. Marty is obviously a target and gives John an ultimatum – either she helps him find the killer or she stays in her Palace hotel room. John has no choice but to take Marty with him, they leave thru the fire escape. Unknown to them, the KAD Killer is lurking outside Marty’s door and becomes increasingly upset when he/she breaks into the room to find it empty.
