Ungentle Love - OLTL Recap for Wednesday, April 22, 2009

OLTL Episode Recap

From Carlotta "Carly" Schmittgen, for About.com

At the courthouse, Todd brags to Tea that he will get his kids back – especially since their step-dad has been arrested! Delgado argues that her client is innocent. When the publisher announces he’s going to see the judge, she grabs him and within minutes, they’re on the courtroom table making love.

Over at Llanview Jail, Marty visits John and the couple banter over Todd’s guilt in the serial murders. Manning didn’t have a reason to kill Talia. “He’s a loser; not a killer,” states the former police detective. Marty thinks Todd planted the knife in Zach’s room and feels bad John has been accused of the killings. If Tea can’t get him off, Marty promises she’ll bring a cake with a knife in it. As she leaves, her former beau warns her to be careful since the killer is still out there.

Meanwhile at Layla and Talia’s digs, Cris ties to comfort Williamson as she sobs over the loss of her roommate and is guilt ridden about the message she left Talia earlier in the day.

Under the lights of the Morgue, Antonio brushes his hand across the cheek of Talia’s corpse. He gently holds the body as the commish enters the room and tells Vega that they have someone in custody, but he doesn’t think it’s the right person.

On the patio of LaBoulaie, Dorian is crestfallen as Ray tells her that he needs to set a better example for his daughter Lola and not be pursuing a married woman. Inside the home, Starr joins Markko and Langston on the stairs and they discuss the murder which took place. They then discuss Lola’s threats of making them pay for ratting out to Ray about her coming onto Rivera. Markko is warned to watch his back; then leaves. Langston spots the locket around Starr’s neck and is elated to find that Cole had something to do with returning it to Starr.

At the rehab place, Rachel is concerned at Lola’s accusations of Markko providing a urine sample for Cole. She reminds the girl that these are serious allegations and Thornhart will go to jail if they’re true. Cole responds that the teen is crazy! Rachel escorts her out promising her she will address the situation, and then asks Cole if it’s true. When she gets no response, she threatens to call Markko. Thornhart then admits that the paramedics gave him something since he had been hit on the head during the hostage situation. “Cut the crap; you’re still using!” Gannon spouts. Thornhart pleads his case stating all the bad stuff that happened to him and he just needed to feel better. When he promises he’ll quit using, Gannon assures him that his future tests will be unannounced and closely monitored. Cole thanks her, goes out in the hall and takes a bag of pills out of his pocket, then returns to the room and hands them to Rachel.

Back at the courtroom, as Tea freshens up, Todd caresses her arm and Marty walks in, appalled at what she sees. She fires Tea and accuses the duo of being together on getting McBain arrested. At the jail, Antonio asks to see McBain alone. Vega wants John to find the killer. Bo joins them and apologizes for having to put John in the slammer. After the commish leaves for his office, Antonio shakes John’s hand. McBain opens his hand to find a key.

Lola arrives at LaBoulaie and smugly advises Markko that he’s “going down.” He disgustingly looks at her and walks away. Lola storms by Langston and Starr. On the patio, Dorian and Ray discuss the kiss where Jack caught them. Lord claims that it meant nothing and she was trying to get David’s attention when she *accidently* emailed the photo from the cell phone. In fact, her husband got a kick out of the picture. Montez asks the brunette if she’s hoping her husband will come home to her or leave her. “I’d like an answer to that also.” The couple turn to find a sunglass clad David Vickers Buchanan!

In the court hallway, Todd stops Marty and apologizes to her for what she witnessed. Inside the courtroom, Tea mumbles to herself and hears a laugh. Thinking it’s Todd; she whirls around seeing R J Gannon! Close by at the jail, John turns the key in the lock and walks out of his cell.
