Todd goes to see Blair to ask if she will grant him custody now that John is in jail, Blair refuses to do so as she knows that John ill be cleared soon. John sneaks up on Mike and needs his help, Mike promises to help John. Mike dresses John up to look like a doctor so he can sneak in to see Blair. John goes in to see Blair to explain the situation – that he broke out of jail so he could go and look for the killer. John apologizes that he can’t be there for Blair and the kids but needs to do this so no one else gets hurt. Blair understands, they share a kiss. Bo and Fish are going over some case files when Bo is informed that John has escaped. Bo doesn’t seem surprised and surmises that Antonio helped John out. Bo puts out an APB which puts the mayor back on Bo’s case. A picture of Talia is hung on the “Fallen Officer’s” wall in the station. Bo calls Mike to see if John has made contact, which Mike says that John hasn’t. Bo has a feeling that Mike is lying so he and Fish rush to the hospital. Only to find Mike in Blair’s room with no sign of John.

Dorian is elated to see David, Ray excuses himself so they can talk. Meanwhile, Lola tells Langston that she told Cole’s councilor about Markko taking Cole’s drug test. They get into a huge fight, which Ray breaks up when he takes Lola aside and explains to Lola that her actions are unwarranted and she should act like the young lady he knows she can be. Meanwhile, Langston calls Markko to do some damage control. Markko assures Langston that it’s been taken care of – as Cole as come to the Buenos Dias to tell Markko that his councilor knows and that she gave him a free pass. Langston rushes over to the Buenos Dias, but not before Lola apologizes to Langston. However, Lola’s apology was only to suit Ray as she makes another promise to tear Langston and Markko apart.

Nora arrives at the rehab center, shocked to see Rachel there, and learns that Rachel is Cole’s new councilor. Nora objects to this as it’s a conflict of interest, however Rachel is adamant about helping Cole get through this. Nora wants an update on Cole’s progress, which Rachel attests that Cole is doing everything right. However, Lola storms in and asks why Rachel didn’t do anything regarding Markko taking Cole’s drug test. Rachel ushers Lola out, explaining that the situation has been handled. Nora is furious, however Rachel makes a compelling argument that there is no solid proof – what Lola told them was hearsay. Nora tells Rachel that Rachel has a legal obligation to tell her if Cole uses again, which Rachel promises that she will.

Starr meets up with Cole at the Buenos Dias and they affirm their commitment to find out what happened to Hope, however they don’t know how to go about it since they don’t want to tell anyone. Starr suggests that they use the lock of hair she has of Hope in her locket. Langston shows up and is relieved that the drug test situation has been taken care of and that Cole and Starr are being civil to each other.

David and Dorian air their feelings about each other – both love each other, however a long distance relationship isn’t in their future. Dorian and David agree to part ways and file for divorce. David takes off for L.A., with David out of the way Ray makes his move and asks Dorian to dinner, which she accepts. Lola storms up to her room and makes plans to ruin Langston and Markko’s prom night. Tea is glad to see that RJ has returned to Llanview, they catch up on how they’ve been when Todd enters the courtroom and has a nostalgic feeling about him and RJ with Tea. RJ takes off, but not before making dinner plans with Tea. Todd tells Tea that the judge agreed to see him ASAP, since John broke out of prison. Tea is shocked to learn that John has escaped. Meanwhile, John sneaks into his apartment to grab his gun and some clothes. However, he finds a picture of Marty in his closet with a knife stabbed thru it. . .
