Renouncing Satan…Or Not - OLTL Recap for Thursday, April 16, 2009

Todd tempts Teá into making mad, passionate love with him with the impression that Teá will do his bidding for him and help get his children back. After making love, Teá explains that she’s not going to help Todd with anything anymore. Todd is furious and feels helpless as Teá dashes out the door. Markko tells Langston that Cole took a painkiller after the incident with Zack Rosen because he was in pain, Langston reminds Markko of the zero tolerance policy that the drug rehab center has. Markko tells Langston that he helped Cole pass the test by giving Cole a sample of his urine. Lola overhears the entire conversation; she goes to make amends with Langston but is met with ill wishes as Langston brushes off Lola. Lola vows to get even with both Langston and Markko. Cole stops by to see Starr, wherein he tells her that he was at Todd’s place to tell Todd about Starr and Schuyler. Starr is furious with Cole, but she is more intent upon finding out his Schuyler is ok. Cole stops her from making the call to Schuyler and returns her locket. Starr, who has been looking for the locket all night, is elated to have it back. Starr takes the opportunity to tell Cole that their baby didn’t die of Rh Disease and she thought better than to have the babies body exhumed. Cole is torn between the decisions; Starr – realizing the time – rushes off to the christening.

Jess takes Chloe to Nash’s grave before the christening, wherein she tells Nash that she found love again but it didn’t work out. Brody overhears the conversation and tries to explain to Jess that he isn’t with Gigi. Jess, however, feels that it’s none of her business. Brody still wants to be friends; Jess explains that it’s hard right now for them to be friends because of how she feels about Brody – however she wants to keep the option of being friend open, perhaps for the future. Clint, Viki, Charlie and Bree arrive at the church. Natalie and Jared show up a few moments later. Viki can see that something is troubling Natalie and asks her about it, without going into detail, Natalie explains that she had to work out a few things to be sure she was ready to handle the responsibility of being a godmother. Viki still senses something is wrong with Natalie, Natalie explains that she’s going to do whatever it takes for Jess to keep her children – if she happens to relapse. Charlie asks Jared about the secret that Jared is keeping; Jared explains that he thought about it and thought best to keep the secret a secret.

Mike and Marcie show up, both remembering the last time they were at the church (Hope’s funeral) and reminiscing about Tommy. The christening begins as Natalie and Jared are made official godparents. Starr arrives after the christening and holds Chloe for Jess. Starr freaks when she feels something very strong for Chloe and rushes out of the church, Natalie and Jared witness this event. Natalie and Jared go to Nash’s grave, wherein they promise Nash that they’ll take care of Jess and keep the secret hidden forever. Cole stops to see Hope, wherein he vows to find out what happened to her. Starr overhears this and agrees with him.

Bo, Nora, John and Fish get a break in the serial killer case – the knife they found in Zack’s apartment has traces of Blair’s blood and they rush it back to the lab to see if there’s a fingerprint on it. Nora freaks when she realizes that she’s missed the christening, she goes to have the lab put a rush on the results. John tells Bo that he still doesn’t think Rosen is their guy; Bo seems to think that Zack is their man. John sees Fish, Fish admires John for how he led them into Zack’s place without a warrant, John tells Fish to keep quiet about it. Nora returns with the results from the fingerprint test. Bo is anxious to put Zack away for ever this time. Nora, however, explains that a fingerprint was found on the knife and that fingerprint belongs to John McBain. . .
