John kicks the door of Zach Rosens motel room and finds a name badge with the former frat rats name on it. McBain then reports a break-in in progress at the Highway 5 Motel Room 7.
Talia and Fish are at Mannings home trying to warn Todd about Zach Rosens presence in Llanview. A smug Manning tells them hes already thrown him out of his office earlier today. Zach is seen lurking in the bushes as the cops leave. Todd rifles through the mail and we see an envelope from Llanview High School addressed to Blair Manning. He is interrupted by a knock at the door so the envelope goes unnoticed. Its Cole. Saybrookes words are garbled and Manning accuses him of being on drugs; however Cole is pretty convincing when he describes a teacher with nothing but a towel on and after hiding in the hallway, witnessing Starr leaving buttoning up her clothes! When Saybrooke tells Manning who the teacher is, Todd bolts leaving Cole to lock-up and Zach still hiding in the bushes! A bitter Rosen confronts Cole in the living room and tells the lad his mom is responsible for him going to prison. Cole lunges toward Rosen.
Talia and Fish respond to the call at Zach Rosens room and are concerned to find McBain there admitting he broke in. John explains that with the room already broken into, they can request a warrant for all the visible items like past Intruders with Lees and Martys pictures on the covers.
A police officer escorts Marty into Blairs hospital room. Saybrooke enters bearing a bouquet of spring tulips. During the visit, Marty innocently lets Blair know that John thinks hes found a connection to all three murderers. Blair is visibly jealous when she hears that John has been in contact with Saybrooke.
Starr is tending to her broken heart at LaBoulaie, while an incredulous Langston hears all about her friend putting the moves on her former teacher until Coles arrival ruined the moment. Even though Langston supports Starr as a friend, she thinks this is a bad situation Starr has gotten herself into. As Starr is relating her story to her friend, Schuyler is reading a love letter Starr left under his door. It professes her love and begs the teacher to wait another year for her. He starts to draft a response and then crumples up the papers almost hitting Todd Manning standing in the doorway!
Dorian and Ray are caught in a lip lock by Jack and his picture taking cell phone. When its apparent that the kid is not giving up the phone, Ray kneels down to the lad and relates a prison experience with a cell mate who tried to blackmail Montez. The kid is wide-eyed when he hears that aside from dental records the body was un-identable after burning in the prison incinerator. Jack reluctantly surrenders the phone and with Rays suggestion, offers his aunt an apology. The kid runs into the foyer knocking mail out of Starrs hands and bolts upstairs. Starr finds a letter by the school revealing that since theyve gotten no response from Blair on the kissing incident, they have contacted the non-custodial partner. Starr panics and heads to her fathers house.
Nora is shocked to see Rachel. She scolds Hank for spilling the beans about Matthews situation and is worried about her daughter missing work. The young Gannon assures her mom that shes on leave and is where she needs to be. Nora tells Rachel that it was because of her daughters past drug use, she asked for leniency on Cole. The young Gannon warns her mom that just because someone is in rehab doesnt mean they kicked the habit.
Dorian thanks Ray for his help in dealing with Jack. He replies that she deserves support from the man she loves. Langston later joins Dorian and asks to use her cell. The teen is shocked to see the picture displayed on the phone Dorian and Ray kissing! At the hospital, Marty runs into John and he updates her on the new evidence. He warns her that anyone associated with her is in grave danger. Also in danger is Mr. J. as Todds just picked up the crumpled letter from Starr. Meanwhile Starr enters her dads home calling out for him. Zach abandons an unconscious Cole and comes into the room Twinkle, twinkle little Starr, he chants.
