Elephants - OLTL Recap for Thursday, April 2, 2009

Marty and Jess meet each other for some much needed girl talk seeing as how they’ve both lost the men they care for in their lives. Each tries to “one-up” the other, having a contest to see who’s relationship ended the worst. Marty thinks its for the best, so she can help Cole focus on getting better. Jess thinks that, maybe, its too soon after Nash to start dating. Things get even steamier in the sauna as Cristian and Layla go at each other, each blaming the other for their current predicament. After realizing that they are being childish, Layla apologizes for the comments she made earlier. Both go as far as saying that the other looks pretty good – given their current situation. Cris hopes that someone will open the door soon so they can get out, just as Layla and Cris are making that love connection, the door opens. Layla scoots out before Cris can say anything.

Ray sees Jackie kissing Dorian and finds it odd that Dorian would kiss another man, seeing as how she’s married. Jackie senses the hostility and leaves them to talk. Dorian explains that Jackie kissed her, she didn’t kiss him. Ray explains that he respects Dorian rejecting him because she is married, he also respects the institution of marriage, he also thinks Dorian used Jackie to make him jealous. Dorian laughs, trying to cover herself because, in fact, that’s what she was using Jackie for. Ray tells Dorian to get her feelings straight – either stay committed to her marriage with David, or pursue a relationship with him. Todd approaches Tea and says that he wants her to help him get his kids back. Tea explains that his problems are no longer her problems. Todd explains that he knows Tea is in love with him, and promises himself to her if she helps get Starr, Jack and Sam away from Blair and John. Ray interrupts, Tea explains that everything is ok between her and Todd. She also tells Todd that hey don’t have a deal.

Meanwhile, Zack Rosen (former KAD fraternity brother to Todd and rapist to Marty) sits at the bar watching every move Todd makes. John and Fish go over a few files, John is still uneasy about the recent developments (Fish being a member of the new KAD). Fish explains that the KAD chapter was reinstated, John brings out files on Powell Lord and Zack Rosen. John explains that Powell is still in a mental institution while Zack was released from prison around the same time the first stabbing happened. Fish says that he’ll get info on both men ASAP. Fish notices John’s wedding ring and congratulates him when John explains that he and Blair are married.

Brody runs into Stacy in the hall and finally comes face-to-face with the person that could save Shane. Brody thinks its despicable what Stacy is doing, reminding her that a little boy could die if she doesn’t give Shane her bone marrow. Brody also tells Stacy that he knows all about her plan, Stacy explains that she is in love with Rex and they are meant to be together. Brody tells Stacy that, no matter what she does to either Rex or Gigi, she can’t make Rex fall in love with her. Stacy is determined to win Rex’s heart. Gigi finds Rex at the hospital and wants to talk about hat he walked in on. Rex is willing to forgive Gigi for sleeping with Brody so that they can move on with their lives and focus on Shane. Gigi tells Rex that she can’t trust him and that’s why she has to break up with him. Rex doesn’t understand where Gigi is coming from, telling her that they can get thru anything together – even this. Gigi is firm on her stance, Rex asks Gigi to marry him – hoping this will change her mind. Gigi tells Rex that they are over. Stacy overhears the last part of the conversation and makes her grand entrance. Gigi tells Stacy that she and Rex are thru. Stacy explains that she’s got some good news – she is a match for Shane and can donate her bone marrow. . .
