Make Me a Match? - OLTL Recap for Thursday, March 26, 2009

Starr is blaming herself for Cole’s accident because he saw her and Skylar kissing. Langston tries to tell Starr that it’s not her fault, but Starr has it in her head that it is. Starr also believes that she and Skylar have a connection that goes beyond their parents. Langston thinks it’s crazy for Starr to believe a relationship will develop with Skylar because of their situation. Rex walks in on Roxy giving Shane a makeover, Rex can see that Shane is elated as he reveals that Roxy told him they have a donor. Rex takes Roxy into the hall and lets loose – asking how she could get Shane’s spirits up. Roxy explains that she’s so sure they will find a match soon, she takes off to run an errand.

Meanwhile, Gigi is in the chapel praying. Skylar is preparing for court regarding his mother while Stacy takes a shower. Stacy emerges from the bathroom, promising that she’ll be out of Skylar’s apartment ASAP. Stacy asks Skylar why he’s not at work, Skylar explains that he’s suspended because of “inappropriate contact with a student.” Stacy immediately thinks Skylar slept with a student, but Skylar explains the situation and then asks Stacy if she’ll pretend to be his girlfriend as so to not give the wrong impression to “the student.” Stacy agrees to do so, while Skylar is in the shower Roxy comes banging on the door. Roxy tells Stacy to get to the hospital so they can tell Gigi and Rex about their plan. Stacy explains that she’s tried to tell Gigi and Gigi is the one holding it up. Roxy tells Stacy that she better stick to their plan, or Roxy will tell Rex and Gigi the truth – not caring if Rex finds out his dad is still alive. Skylar overheard the conversation, Stacy explains that Shane is sick. Skylar promises to get tested right after court. Stacy tries to talk him out of it, but Skylar takes off with the intention of getting tested.

Tea and Marty prepare for Cole’s arraignment while Cole sits in the hall waiting to be called into court. Asher stops by, pretending to be Cole’s peer counselor. Asher gets Cole alone and hands him a bag of pain pills. Cole doesn’t want to take them, but sees Nora coming and has to hid them – in his pocket. Asher takes off as Nora walks by. Marty sees Nora talking to Cole and interrupts, Cole sends Marty for water while Nora goes into the courtroom. With no one looking, Cole downs the whole bag of pain pills. While in court, Tea tries to get Nora to reduce the charges. Nora is adamant about prosecuting Cole to the full extent of the law – taking into consideration Matt’s, Tea’s and Marty’s plea to go easy on Cole. With court in session, Nora has a change of heart and reduces the charges against Cole – providing that he satisfactorily completes a drug abuse program. Tea agrees to this, Cole is to begin treatment today – after he submits urine for a drug test. Bo is helping Matt while the physical therapist works on Matt’s legs. Matt continually beats himself up, Bo comforts Matt and promises that they will get thru this. Matt freaks when the physical therapist brings in a wheelchair.

Bo sits in the chair and twirls around, making it look as enticing as he can to Matt. Matt promises not to give up hope as Bo lowers him into the wheelchair. They run into Nora in the hall, who is as happy as she can be with her son out of bed in a wheelchair. Gigi returns to Shane’s room, Mike stops by with some good news – they found a donor is Australia and the transplant is schedule ASAP. Gigi is elated and rushes off to run an errand. Rex is beside himself as is Shane. Roxy shows up and they tell her the good news. Roxy is excited and rushes off. Gigi goes to see Stacy, wherein Gigi tells Stacy that she can take her “slutty, vindictive, skanky-a** bone marrow and crawl back into whatever hole she came out of.” Roxy thanks God that her secret is still safe. Mike returns to Rex with a more diminished look on his face, Mike tells Rex they’ve made a terrible mistake and the transplant is off.
