Do The Right Thing? - OLTL Recap for Wednesday, March 25, 2009

At Llanview Hospital, Shane is thrilled to have a visit from Brody. The boy feels that his illness is no big deal compared to Matthew never being able to walk again. They enjoy a game of toss with a nerf ball, and then Shane runs to the bathroom to vomit. He returns and wonders if the kids at school will pick on him for his looking like an alien. He moves on to advising Brody about getting a new girlfriend and suggests Stacey.

In another part of the hospital, Destiny is outside Matthew’s door and asks his Mom if she can visit him. Nora advises her that her son doesn’t want any visitors. As Bo adjusts the covers at the foot of Matthew’s bed, the teen mumbles that it doesn’t make a difference since he can’t feel anything. Matt is depressed and doesn’t want to be a burden to his parents. He suggests Bo sending him to a place with people like him and blames himself for the predicament he’s in. The commish tries to assure him that he and Nora do not feel that way and would do anything in their power to help him. Nora comes in and announces that a friend from school is in the hallway. Matt assumes it’s Becca and it upsets him even more. He doesn’t want to see anyone from school. Destiny doesn’t take no for an answer and comes in anyway. Bo and Nora retire to the hallway commenting that she seems like a nice girl. Inside, when Destiny gives Matthew notes for classes, he says he doesn’t need them because he’s not going back to school.

In Blair’s room, McBain drills the barely coherent blonde about her attack as Todd lurks outside her doorway. She didn’t see a face; just remembers her back burning and grabbing the shower curtain as she fell. Dorian enters the room and Todd follows in. He tells his ex about getting temporary custody of the kids. He insists that it’s because Jack wanted him to be a father to them again. John’s had enough with Todd upsetting Blair so he and Shawn escort Manning out of the room. Blair knows she’s no match for Todd and Tea. Dorian explains she has a plan to put the attorney on their side.

A guilt ridden Natalie and Jared run into Starr, Jessica and Chloe having a wonderful bonding moment. The redhead dreams about Jessica being told and screaming hysterically as Chloe is stripped from her arms and given to Starr. Nat’s jarred to reality with Jess’s questions of what’s wrong! Nat feigns that she and Jared are disappointed they can’t be a match for Shane. Starr smells a dirty diaper so the cousins retire to the couch with Chloe. Jared and his beau agree that the time just isn’t right for telling Jessica the truth. They look over at the couch as Starr and the baby are posing for a picture Jessica’s taking with her cell phone.

Outside Carlotta’s diner, Tea scrolls over several messages left by Dorian wanting the attorney to represent Blair. Inside, there’s a going away party for Antonio. Cris is very suspicious about this assignment his brother has taken since it involves Carlo Hesser. Layla shoots facial daggers Cris’s way as well as making sarcastic comments about what a jerk he is. Tea walks in and the Vegas aren’t thrilled to see the turncoat in the diner. Antonio reminds her about her part in the Cristian/Vanessa nuptials and her friendship with Todd. She insists that she is through with Manning and then has a flashback of talking to Viki and telling her she still loves him.

At Llanfair, Viki and Clint talk about Matthew’s situation. Clint’s been to New York and is very discouraged as those specialists don’t offer any solutions either. Apparently, once a patient goes past the first week with no feeling, there’s little hope. Viki tries to assure him that medical science has made great strides in spinal injuries and not to give up. Buchanan is very worried about Nora and what this will do to her.

Back at the hospital, Destiny runs into her brother in the hallway. It’s Shawn! Inside Matt’s room, the boy tells his parents he’s not going back to school to be ridiculed by the kids. Nora and Bo hug the boy together as Clint goes unnoticed outside the doorway. Brody leaves Shane’s room and finds Jess in the hallway. The two leave for a walk. At Llanfair, Viki notices Jared and Natalie’s sadness. They again claim it’s because of not being donor matches for Shane. Viki goes upstairs leaving Natalie wishing someone could zap her memory of the knowledge of Chloe’s real identity. At the hospital, Starr stares at the picture of her with Chloe. Todd walks up --- she never wants to live with him again she tells him! Tea enters Blair’s room, announces she’s taking the case for Blair and says she’s know exactly how she’s going to win it!
