Bad Hair Day - OLTL Recap for Thursday, March 19, 2009

Shane responded successfully to his first bout with chemo. Roxy, Gigi and Rex want to celebrate, Shane just wants to go for a walk – wherein he meets Frankie, a little girl with cancer. Shane wants Roxy to cut off all of his hair, to which she does. While Shane and Gigi go for a walk, Rex shaves his head in support of his son. Natalie and Jared are at the hospital with DNA samples from Chloe and Jess, both are afraid of what the tests with confirm – Jess’ baby died and Chloe is really Hope. They run into Mike and Marcie, who confirm that Hope did not die from Rh disease. After they leave, Natalie and Jared submit the samples for tests and begin to wonder if they’ve done the right thing.

Langston checks up on Starr, bringing Starr a new change of clothes and some other things to remind her of home while she sits vigil at Blair’s bedside. Starr tells Langston about the new revelation about Hope, Langston is just as shocked as Starr. Langston takes off to go see Markko, Natalie and Jared run into Starr and ask about Blair. Starr explains that Blair’s condition hasn’t improved and mentions that she’s going to take a shower. Natalie and Jared offer to watch Starr’s things as she showers, while Starr is in the shower Natalie steals a piece of hair from Starr’s locket while Jared manages to steal Starr’s toothbrush – they now have all the pieces to put together a puzzle that will shock the lives of many citizens of Llanview.

Meanwhile, at the Buenos Dias, Viki and Charlie are holding a bone marrow drive for Shane where hundreds of people line up to get tested. Brody and Jess run into each other, Jess wishes Brody had called when he found out about Shane – just to have someone to talk to. Viki sees Jess and Brody talking, Brody goes to get tested while Viki tells Jess that she should make a play for Brody. Jess explains that they’ve both chosen to remain friends. Viki and Charlie finally meet Stacy when she shows up to get tested. Charlie can see that Viki distrusts her just from the way Viki displays herself. Viki admits that she doesn’t trust Stacy at all.

Cris and Layla butt heads when Layla accuses Cris of cutting her in line. Cris, avoiding confrontation, walks away. Layla sees Fish talking to Stacy and asks him if Stacy is the person he dumped her for. Fish becomes embarrassed, Stacy explains that she isn’t in to Fish and hurries off. Layla asks Fish if he dumped her because she was being a b**** to him. Fish explains that she’s not a b****, but got the vibe that she didn’t like him. Intent upon proving Cris wrong, Layla follows Cris into the freezer to explain that she isn’t a b****. Cris doesn’t want to talk to Layla, however Layla has other plans as she closes the freezer door and demands they work out their problems. Cris reveals to Layla that the freeze does not open from the inside – they are trapped.

Mike and Marcie arrive at the drive, Jess asks if she can be tested but Mike explains why she can’t. After Brody’s test, Jess and he share a few moments before Brody leaves. Both wonder if they’ve made the right choice to just remain friends. Markko is cleaning up in the kitchen when Lola sneaks up behind him and kisses his neck, thinking its Langston Markko gets into it. When realizing that Lola is kissing him, Markko tells her that she has to stop coming on to him. Lola admits her crush on Markko, Langston shows up and can sense that something is wrong. Instead of telling Langston the truth, Markko tells Langston that he loves her and plants a kiss on her. Roxy checks on the status of her bone marrow test, only to be told that she isn’t a match but her “friend” John Doe is. Roxy freaks out, Stacy overhears the conversation and approaches Roxy when they run into each other in the hall. Roxy tries to play dumb, but Stacy explains that she knows Roxy’s secret “friend” and that he can save Shane’s life. . .
