OLTL Episode Recap

From Richard Schwertfager, for About.com

Jess goes to see Brody to tell him about Shane and Gigi’s accident. Brody calls Shane to see if he’s ok, which Shane says that he and Gigi are both fine. Brody tells Jess that he’d being released from St. Anne’s today; Jess is excited for Brody and offers a room at Llanfare. Brody declines because it’s too close to Gigi, Jess takes Brody by the Angel Square hotel where Roxy rents out a room to Brody – unfortunately it’s Wes’ room. Marcie brings Mike breakfast; Mike has to run off real quick. Marcie sees Cole’s blood report and finds out that Cole is Rh negative, Marcie finds this odd and tries to wrap her mind around it. Meanwhile, Jared and Natalie are discussing the possible reasons Tess has for coming to the hospital the night Chloe was born. Marcie runs into them, Natalie can see that Marcie is frantic and clams her down. Marcie explains that Hope didn’t die from an Rh disease because both Cole and Starr are Rh negative, Marcie just wants to know what Hope died from. We can see the wheels turning in Jared’s mind, knowing that something doesn’t add up. Natalie gets a little more info from Marcie (i.e. Hope being taken to Joplin’s office and there not being a record of Hope being admitted to the NIC-U). Marcie takes off, wondering how she’s going to break the news to Starr. Natalie sits with Jared and believes she knows what happened the night Tess came to the hospital.

Starr and John are standing vigil outside Blair’s hospital room; neither are permitted to see Blair at this time. John reassures Starr that Blair will pull thru this and be home before she knows it. Mike shows up and borrows John, John had asked Mike to retrieve Janet and Wes’ autopsy reports so John can examine them – looking for something similar to what he found under Blair’s fingernail. John, upon examining the photographs with a magnifying glass, finds two letter “A” wedged under the fingernail of both Janet and Wes. John figures out that the serial killer is trying to spell something out, he just doesn’t know what (the only letters John has to the puzzle are a D and two A’s). Skylar calls Starr to see how she, Cole and Blair are doing. Starr explains that events that transpired last evening and apologizes for Skylar losing his teaching job. Skylar assures Starr that everything will be ok. Starr just wants to run to Skylar to talk to him, because she knows he can help her thru this. However, Skylar tells Starr that they can have no more contact until everything passes over.

After talking to Brody, Shane heads off for school. Rex rushes home and tells Gigi he knows why he doesn’t remember anything from last night. Rex blames Stacy for drugging him. Stacy finds this allegation ridiculous, but Rex explains that he’s just come from the hospital where he had a blood test done. Gigi doesn’t believe that Stacy would drug Rex, however she doesn’t believe that Rex will hit on Stacy. Rex apologizes to Gigi for everything and rushes back to the hospital to see that nothing happens to compromise his blood test results. Gigi and Stacy argue, Stacy blames Rex for what happened while Gigi believes that Stacy is up to no good. Rex runs into Mike at the hospital and grabs what he thinks are his results, Rex looks at Mike with a horrifying stare. Rex calls Gigi and tells her to get to the hospital ASAP. Before leaving, Gigi throws Stacy to the curb (although she ends up at Skylar’s). Gigi rushes to the hospital where Rex tells her that Shane has leukemia. . .
