Bio of Pat Hufford

Daytime serials have always been an important part of my life. I have fond memories of watching with my grandmother when I was a pre-teen. Years later, watching my favorite characters working through their troubled relationships helped me through the rocky final months of a soap-opera worthy marriage and divorce. With degrees in English and Comparative Literature, I've had a variety of teaching and writing and editing jobs. At one time I aspired to writing for one of the soaps, but couldn't move to L.A. or NYC. I've been watching OLTL off and on almost since the beginning. I love the fact that many of the people whose lives I followed years ago are still here - especially Viki and Dorian and Clint and Bo - and now their stories are continuing with their children. I'm also enjoying watching the younger characters, played by such talented actors. I record and watch OLTL every day, so writing recaps is a logical next step. I am also writing a young adult novel.
