One Life to Live Recap for Thursday, December 30, 2004

Van and John make plan for New Years Eve. Van is worried because she has nothing to wear and her hair is a mess. Nat and Cris are at Foxy Roxy’s. Cris admires the mural of Roxy and questions who painted it. Roxy laughs and tells him the he painted it. Cris was just fooling around; he leaves to go meet Antonio at the gym. Roxy begins to give Nat a makeover just as Van walks in. Pressed for time, Van wonders if Roxy’s other customer can wait. Nat says that she was there first and won’t wait. Roxy and her employee begin makeovers on both women. Tension builds up as Van asks questions about Nat’s plans for New Years and if she enjoyed the party. Nat tells Van to just come out and say what she wants to say. Van knows about Nat and John’s kiss and thinks that Nat goes to John with every little problem. Nat storms out saying that she is not after John.

Kelly wants to desperately help Blair find Todd because she knows how it feels to lose someone you love. Blair is optimistic about the return of Ace. Kelly admits that she found Ace and he is where he belongs. Kelly also apologizes for bringing Blair and Todd into her problems. Blair accepts her apology and they go to the Palace for lunch. At the Palace, Kevin and Jess are sitting down to lunch. Jess tells Kevin to, instead of reading the speech prepared for him by the governor’s staff, voice his own opinions. Kevin is reluctant to do that. Jess asks if he still has feelings for Kelly. Kevin, changing the subject, asks how she is with Antonio. Jess thought they were the perfect couple, but now she doesn’t know what to think. Blair and Kelly walk in.

Antonio is working out at the gym; John spots him when he has trouble on the bench press. John confesses that he misses the friendship and helping Antonio out. Antonio thinks that John has changed, but John gets Antonio to see that he is the one who has changed. Antonio realizes that he needs to get his life back together. John is there to help if he needs it. Antonio says that he is very worried about Cris. John is too. Cris comes over and tells Antonio not to talk about him to John. Cris then tells John to stay away from both him and Nat. Cris takes his frustrations out on a punching bag as John watches from a distance.

Margaret pulls a gun on Dr. Bricker but tells him that she won’t shoot him, it’s the gun that she accidentally shot “Jack” with as she was cleaning it. Dr. Bricker still needs to report the wounds to the police. Margaret offers him a generous donation in lieu of him calling the cops. Dr. Bricker accepts the offer and chooses not to call the police. As Margaret leaves to get the money, Todd is having a dream about his wedding with Blair. In the dream, Blair tells him to keep fighting to get back to her and his kids. Todd begins to wake up.

Jen and Riley are in bed. Rex comes storming in to see how Jen is doing. Riley tells Rex to leave the room. Rex was concerned about Jen. Jen reveals that she isn’t a murder suspect anymore because new evidence shows a male outside of Dorian’s office planting the gun. Rex wonders if the cops know exactly who the man is. Jen says that she doesn’t know details. Rex tells Riley to take care of Jen as he exits the room. Riley can’t believe that Rex just busted in there like that. Jen tells him to forget about Rex and they kiss.

Antonio and Cris are in the locker room. Antonio tries to get Cris to understand that a lot of people are happy with the fact that he is alive and back in Llanview. Cris, less then enthusiastically, replies that he is glad to be back. As Cris heads for the shower, John comes in. Antonio reveals that he also misses their friendship and tells John, as a friend, that he did not kill Tico. Antonio leaves. John takes out his notebook of suspects – he crosses Jess’ name off, puts a “?” by Antonio’s name and checkmarks Cris’ name. Cris stands behind him and glares at John.

Rex shows up at Foxy Roxy’s. Roxy tells him that he just missed a good catfight between Nat and Van. Rex is sorry that he missed Nat. Roxy asks what he’s up too. Rex tells her that he is leaving town for a while and came to say goodbye.

Kelly goes over to wish Kevin and Jess a Happy New Year. Kevin can’t enjoy the New Year without his son. Kelly misses Ace too. Jess tells Kelly to tune in to watch Kevin’s speech tonight, because it should be a good one.

At the exact same moment that Todd wakes up, Blair gets a shiver and calls out Todd’s name. Kelly sits with Blair and says that she has the perfect way for her to get in touch with Todd. Dr. Bricker tells Todd to relax and not speak. Todd yells out to Dr. Bricker that he needs help and asks Dr. Bricker to call Blair for him.
