One Life to Live Recap for Thursday, December 23, 2004

Kevin begins by asking Kelly what happened to Ace. Kelly tells him that she did the right thing and gave Ace back to his birth mother, which she refuses to give Kevin the mother’s name. Kevin tries to get her to realize that Ace was her last shot at raising a child. Kelly is aware of this and feels they have to mourn their son to move on. Kelly admits that she never stopped loving Kevin. Kevin remains speechless as Kelly walks out the door. Kevin vows to find Ace’s mother.

Van is at the hospital to see Mike. Van is asking questions about Tico’s murder. Mike avoids the questions saying that he thinks that work will interfere with her and John’s relationship, the way that work has affected his and Marcie’s.

Nat is excited over Cris’ Christmas gift. Meanwhile, Antonio goes to see Cris. Cris asks him for money to but Nat a gift because he doesn’t thing he’ll finish his painting before Christmas. Antonio goes to check the canvas but Cris tells him not to. Antonio hands over some money and leaves. Cris reveals a blank canvas and then gets frustrated when he can’t paint Nat’s portrait. He has a meltdown and destroys the canvas.

Jess tells Antonio that she has to go to the church to have Tico’s ashes released. She also reveals that she had her marriage annulled. Antonio goes with her. Low and behold John and Van are all ready at the church. John is there doing a little snooping around. Antonio signs the paper to have Tico’s ashes released. John asks Jess if she remembers anything from the night Tico died. Antonio thinks that it isn’t the best time to do this, but Jess begins to remember something. Jess goes on to say that she say someone reaching for a plug, then pausing to reach for another plug and finally pulling the second plug. John asks if it was a man or a woman. Jess says it could’ve been anyone.

David gives Dorian his gifts of a picture of them in a nice frame. Blair, Jack and Starr show up to celebrate Christmas. Blair wants the kids to have a good Christmas as she feels that it’s the only way she can enjoy the holiday. Dorian tells her to just forget about Todd. Starr is convinced that Todd will be back home and, in a fit of rage, throws a snow globe, given to her by Blair, against the wall. Blair calls Mike at the hospital to check on any sign of Todd being admitted. Mike tells her that no one fitting Todd’s description was admitted to any hospital in Pennsylvania. Dorian doesn’t understand why she keeps on trying. David, dressed as Santa, comes in to distribute presents. Starr tells Jack not to give up on Todd because he will come home. Kelly shows up, not wanting to talk about where she was. David and Dorian start singing Christmas carols as the others join in.

Nat and Cris are at home. Nat asks if his running off after dinner was about his Christmas gift. Cris can’t tell her. Nat starts to give him a message and notices scars on his head. Cris says they are from being on the ship. Nat can’t imagine what he went through.

John is at the hospital searching Tico’s room. Mike tells him that he won’t find anything. John inspects the plugs on the wall and pulls a piece of latex glove out of a socket. John calls Van to cancel their plans for the evening but reminds her they are still on for Christmas. Mike tells John to go out and live on Christmas, not work. John has no choice but to work.

Crazy Margaret is at it again, holding a chain saw in her hand thus waking Todd up. Todd asks what she’s doing. Margaret was chopping wood for the fireplace and can’t wait to warm him up later. Todd tells her that he won’t sleep with her. Margaret threatens him and Todd agrees to sleep with her. Margaret gives him a magazine to get him in the mood while she changes into something different. Margaret comes back. Todd wants some champagne to make a toast. While Margaret goes to get the glasses, Todd swipes some pain pills and crushes them into a powder. Margaret comes back with the glasses and pours champagne for them. Todd slips the powder into her drink and she downs the whole glass. Margaret begins to kiss Todd and then passes out. Todd makes sure Margaret is out cold before reaching for his makeshift crutch and managing to climb out of bed.

Jess, Antonio and Nat are in the living room of Llanfair. The doorbell rings and Nat goes to answer it. Carlotta asks why they needed her to return to Llanview so soon. Cris comes down the stairs and Carlotta jumps back in sheer surprise. She holds her son tight as she thanks God for bringing him home to her.

Todd realizes that Margaret has the key to the door. He turns back to gently remove the key from her wrist. He manages to finagle the key off her wrist and starts to head for the door. . .
