Fan Recap for One Life to Live

From Regina Skarzinskas, for About.com

Todd and Blair get into an argument over Todd’s obsession with Kevin. Blair is also frustrated because she feels that the responsibility for the wedding preparations is all falling on her. Blair commiserates to Starr who points out that being helpless is just not Blair and the two hatch a plan. In the meantime, Margaret is hatching a plan of her own. She daydreams to herself about her upcoming plans as she packs a suitcase with all of the essentials, including….rope and duct tape! Only Margaret would consider that a romantic hideaway essential.

Todd heads to the park to talk to Duke. Thinking that he can take advantage of the fractured relationship between father and son, Todd tried to get some dirt on Kevin. But Duke holds strong that he will not turn on his dad and expresses his disgust that Todd would think otherwise. As Todd muses over the situation a black hood falls over his head.

Van is running through that same park and runs into RJ who taunts her about her relationship..or lack there of with John. A brief bit of sparring and she is off again. But in the first moment of quiet calls John and leaves a cheery message.

John is waiting for his report to come in when Bo walks into his office frustrated about the attempts by others to take over his investigation. John offers to help him move forward. Bo tells him the first order of business is to interrogate witnesses and first on the list is Christian. Bo isn’t sure that John is up to the task, but he tells Bo that he is the only one to do the job. He leaves for the hospital.

Christian wakes up with Natalie in his arms and a smile on his face. Good feelings don’t last long as Christian faces a barrage of anger.. first Antonio comes in incensed that Tico with all of his connections won’t pay for everything he has done to him and his family. While Christian reassures him that there is no way Tico will go free, Antonio isn’t so sure. From the voice of calm and reason, Christian’s emotional roller coaster hits a new high as John appears at his door. Unleashing an invective, not often heard from Christian, he lets loose with all of the anger, frustration, sorrow, misery and fear that has been pent-up over the last year. As Bo walks in to calm the situation, Christian demands that John leave. While John stands outside the door, Bo starts to question Christian. Van shows up at the hospital and suggests they go catch a cup of coffee.

Meanwhile, Margaret is outside the Manning Penthouse searching for a key. Finding one behind the picture hear the door, she lets her self in and up the stairs. As she is heading down stairs with a dress in her hand, the front door opens and she races behind the sofa to hide. In walks Starr, Blair and a still hooded Todd. Off comes the hood and out comes the tux that Blair has been trying to get Todd to try on. As they race up the stairs, Margaret makes her escape.

Antonio shows up in front of Tico’s room and watches a tearful Sonya as she gently reminisces about the sweet little brother she grew up with. Antonio can’t understand why Sonya is so emotionally about Tico considering what he has done. Sonya tells Antonio that when she joined the feds, she did so with the intention of clearing her brother, not putting him in jail. Then, she tells Antonio that she is taking another assignment and leaving Lanview.

Marcie comes to visit Jessica all wound up. Rather than tending to Jessica, she’s rather scattered about her life, her career and her relationship with Michael. She comes to the conclusion that she has been so busy she has been ignoring all the signals Michael has been sending her, and concludes that he has been trying to ask her to marry him. Off she goes to make the time and tell him, of course she will!

In another part of the hospital, Michael tries to offer and solicit brother assistance when he runs into John. He confronts John with the truth…that he is in love with two women and has to make a choice. John tells him that there is no choice, both women deserve better than him. As he talks to his brother, he concludes that his intentions are purely selfish and that what is important is Marcie’s happiness, not his own. Marcie and Michael finally connect and Michael tells Marcie that her needs are more important than his. And, he has concluded that life is too busy and her career too important to rush into marriage. And, he isn’t sure he is ready either. Michael gets paged and leaves a tearful Marcie behind. Not really sure of her emotion state as she has finally met someone who will put her needs above his own, but didn’t get the proclamation of love in the form of a marriage proposal that she was expecting.
