Fan Recap for One Life to Live

From Rachael Ruiz, About.com Guest

David and Kelly take a break from their search for Ace with a game of poker in the motel room. They become even closer as they share stories with one another.

Natalie frantically calls John for help after finding the bloody ropes that Cristian was tied up with. Back at the television station, Antonio aims the rifle at Governor Brooks but then redirects his aim and shoots Tico. Wounded, Tico reaches for his cell phone, but Antonio shoots and destroys it. Mistaken for a sniper, security officers fire shots towards Antonio who falls. The shots miss Antonio and he is taken into custody as he explains to the security officer that Tico is going to try to kill Governor Brooks. Jessica leaves a worried Viki behind as she takes off running to look for Tico.

Antonio is taken away as he yells out to Jessica to stay away from Tico. At that moment, Jessica hears Antonio calling out at her. She attempts to get up from a bad fall as Tico, standing right over her, points a gun at her saying, “Jessica, please do exactly as I say. I would hate for this to be the last day of your life.” He then forces her to go with him as his gun is aimed right at her side. Antonio spots them and informs the officers that he has taken Jessica hostage. As Tico struggles to take Jessica away, an intense moment builds even stronger as Cristian appears and surprises them both.

Kevin and Brooks are rushed into a room for protection and Brooks discovers he was the victim of an assassination attempt. That discovery leads Kevin to recall a prior conversation with Tico, leading him to wonder if Tico had something to do with the shooting. When Brooks asks Kevin if he has any idea who would want to kill him, Kevin responds, “No, no idea.”

Bo arrives, giving a desperate Antonio the chance to explain the entire situation. Bo believes him and asks the officers to remove the cuffs from Antonio. They find their way to Kevin and Brooks and inform them that it was Tico Santi who was trying to assassinate Brooks. Brooks accuses Kevin of having some ties to Tico and the assassination because of Tico’s involvement with Kevin’s campaign. As Kevin denies the accusation, Viki, Duke and Adriana walk in and overhear what is being said. They are surprised to find that Tico was behind the attempt on the governor’s life. Viki stands up for Kevin and blasts Brooks as she states, “That’s absolute nonsense! How dare you!” Duke, however, is not convinced.

Meanwhile, Blair and Todd make plans for their wedding, while a crazed Margaret Cochran stands outside their penthouse door. Todd receives a call that someone tried to kill Brooks so leaves, as Margaret shrewdly states, “Blair you are not going to be walking down that aisle…come Christmas you will be in a very different state of mind.” She then places a call to Lantano Cabins in hopes of renting a cabin during Christmas. She is quite pleased when she discovers the place is isolated during that time of year.

Danger escalates as Cristian aims his gun at Tico, but hesitates to shoot when Tico warns him that he will shoot Jessica. With Tico’s gun to her head, Jessica begs Cristian to shoot him. Cristian, however, fears the worst for Jessica, so puts the gun down and tells Tico to take him as hostage instead. Tico fires his gun at Cristian, which is heard outside. Still struggling with Jessica, he pushes her down and shoots Cristian. At that moment, John rushes in and takes Tico down. As they struggle for the gun, it goes off and Tico is shot. Natalie runs in and finds a wounded Cristian and stays at his side. John just looks on.
