One Life to Live Recap for Friday, November 19, 2004

Tico comes face to case with Cristian when he comes home at Lion's Heart. Chilling! Tico pretends the intruder is Juan Alveres, a business associate expected from Puerto Rico. Cristian plays it cool and plays along. When asked, Cristian explains how he got in the door. He saw it open and thought it suspicious... And just as he says it, spots and storms Antonio, who has just appeared and pretends to catch him. Tico orders Antonio to stay away from his house and his wife. Cristian/Juan offers to throw Antonio outside, and while doing so, Cristian tells his brother what is going on. Cristian returns inside to continue pretending to be Juan Alveres, although Antonio attempted to stop him.

Antonio thought this was way too easy. (Tico is not the violent scene type. He is refined. I love the subtle way he is eeeviiiil! It gave me chills.) Antonio calls Jessica, still at Llanfair. Tico and Juan discuss a little business without mentioning anything specific. Tico invites him to stay at the house. Actually, he insists on this. And they will tell Tico's wife, Jessica, that he is from Madrid. Tico never mentions details, but Juan is there to do a special high profile job.

We wonder... does Tico know that this is Cristian Vega, his cousin? Well, yes. By the end, we see Tico looking at a picture of Cristian and Natalie's wedding photo. He crumples it up and tosses it, announces his plan aloud to himself... He is so dashing, so sophisticated, but to hear him say what he does so coldly and confidently, his eyes so dark -- in less than a week, at the Govenor's State of the Commonwealth Address, Antonio will be playing his game, either he assassinate the Governor or forfeits the life of someone he loves. But the choice will be meaningless. Cristian will not be able to cheat death again and this time Antonio will die as well. Tico is scary. He knew it was Cristian, but invited him in anyway (and got what he wanted as usual). We know he has Kevin Buchanon in his pocket, and Jessica as his wife. He even has Dorian's respect. He is swift and sweet. But there is a dark side. We already heard him say he killed his father, his mother, and I think he will be to blame for a few other deaths too. Tico is sweet and sinister. Ouch.

Later, Antonio and Cristian safely return to Llanfair, Antonio through the front door to greet Jessica, Cristian sneaking up to the attic to meet Natalie. They are both wearing their wedding rings now. John noticed that when he stopped by Llanfair (while Cristian was at Lion's Heart). Natalie kinda blew John off/he was nice/ya never know///Natalie told John he should spend his free time with Evangeline. John knew Natalie was lying about something, but she told him he should leave her alone. After John left, Natalie confessed to Jessica that it made her sad that John could now ready to offer her something he couldn't before. She had craved this in their 'relationship' (I don't think they only ever "did it", except once briefly, if that.) Natalie is not happy to hear the plan from Cristian to stay with Tico and Jessica at Lion's Heart. She can't loose Cristian again (neither can we!)
