Fan Recap for One Life to Live

Duke discusses his feelings towards Kevin with Vicki and Kelly. Vicki encourages Duke to give Kevin time and not give up on him. Duke hints to Kelly that Judge Hernandez may have been influenced in the outcome of the custody hearing. Vicki agrees that there was something odd with the outcome, but they still need to keep an open mind about Kevin. As Vicki is about to leave, Kevin walks in to announce that he took care of things with Paul, who is heading out to the West Coast. Duke tells Kevin that he is not surprised that he took care of things, and questions Kevin about Judge Hernandez. Kevin denies any involvement, but is quick to disregard the importance of Duke’s question and claims that Duke is upset because Kevin told Duke to stay away from Dorian’s daughter Adriana.

Duke hastily leaves and once outside the front door, calls Adriana, arranging to meet with her about a major decision that he needs to talk to her about it. Adriana tries to cover up that it is Duke calling. Adriana tells David that she is going out to meet her friend Sara for coffee. David knows that Adriana is not telling the truth and is really going to meet Duke. David teases Adriana that she is a horrible liar and tells her to go have fun. He warns her to get back before Dorian finds out.

Kevin appears to be upset at Duke and asks Kelly “How can he do this to me, right before the election…he knows what kind of pressure I’m under.” Kelly assures Kevin that Duke is angry, but loves him and Kevin will not lose him. Kevin confidently admits that he will not lose any of his sons and that is why he got rid of Paul. Before leaving, Kevin tells Kelly, “Whatever happens, I did this for us.”

Upon arriving at Lion’s Heart, Vicki is greeted at the door by Tico. Clearly bothered by Vicki’s visit, Tico leaves for his meeting with Dawes and walks away disapprovingly shaking his head. Vicki is happy to see Jessica and wastes no time expressing her worries. Jessica tries to convince Vicki that everything is fine and Tico is perfect. Jessica defends Tico and tells Vicki, “You hardly know Tico, mom. Vicki replies, “Honey, you don’t know Tico either.” Vicki reminds Jessica that when she was a little girl, she hated to admit failure. She proceeds to tell Jessica, “You are not a child anymore.” Vicki tenderly encourages Jessica to have the courage to walk away before she gets hurt.

Tico and Dawes meet to discuss the upcoming elections for governor. Dawes states that Governor Brooks is becoming a problem and is affecting the polls. Tico assures Dawes that Brooks will be gone and Kevin will be the next governor of Pennsylvania.

Back at Paul’s hotel room, Natalie shows up. Natalie tells Paul that she wants to make sure he keeps his promise to Kevin and gets on the plane tomorrow. Paul tells Natalie, “I will be the first one in line at the gate.” To make sure it happens, Paul suggests that Natalie spend the night with him.
