Fan Recap for One Life to Live

From Regina Skarzinskas, for About.com

Evangeline and Nora finish a tennis game and friendly banter turns to matters of the heart. Evangeline touches a tender spot when she asks Nora about her relationship with Bo. Nora insists that all she wants is a friendship with Bo, but after a bit of prodding admits that Bo’s declaration that he has “no feelings” for Nora is bittersweet….”where has all the love gone…” she declares. Evangeline and Nora talk about the attack, and she confesses that more frightening than the attack itself are the bitter racism and hatred that spurred the attack. Nora talks about her own experiences as an interracial couple when she and Hank Gannon were married.

Meanwhile Bo and John are interrogating Dorian about the marked money. In walks an incensed David, fully realizing that Dorian found some of the Santi money, without giving him even so much as a clue. Ever the gallant conman, Dorian soon has David wrapped around her little finger and the tone of the conversation changes from David’s insistence that Dorian be jailed to his confession that the money came from him…..from a fund he had set aside and from which he had paid Dorian for a bet. Bo informs them both that David has insinuated himself and now they were both going to jail, whereupon they decide to come clean. Bo releases them both with the understanding that an officer will come to the house to collect the remainder of the marked bills. David makes it clear to Dorian that although the cops have let her off the hook, he hasn’t yet……

Jen comes home to find Riley’s bags packed. Assuming the worst, she convinces herself that Riley is breaking off their relationship. Riley reminds her that he has a gig that night out of town, but he has no intention of leaving. Despite everything Riley tells her about his very real feelings for her, Jen is convinced that she hasn’t changed and will always ruin the good things that come her way. While Riley insists he won’t leave her; Jen insists there is no other way and walks out the door……and right into Ultra Violet to confront Natalie. The confrontation heats up to the point that Shannon calls John and asks for help. John arrives just in time to see Natalie slap Jen. He breaks up what could have been a nasty catfight and escorts Natalie to Rodi’s. As he drops her off, Natalie asks John why he can’t feel for her what he feels for Evangeline. Natalie and John kiss and then she abruptly breaks it off, confessing that she understands that they are just friends. John reassures her that he will always watch out for her. Embarrassed by her own openness and the kiss, Natalie runs off.

Nora arrives at the hospital, flowers in hand to cheer up an ailing Asa as Bo and Paige are getting ready to head off for dinner. As they leave, Asa insists that Bo shouldn’t be dating Paige as he is still in love with Nora. Bo insists to Paige that he no longer has feelings for Nora, but Paige is not entirely convinced. Nora stays behind to cheer Asa up, but Asa insists that only one thing will cheer him up….seeing Nora and Bo together. Asa pulls his final coup when he tells Nora that test results indicate he is dying and his dying wish is that she and Bo remarry and raise Matthew together under one roof.

Paul finds Kelly at home and tells her that he stole Ace from his real mother, who has been looking for him and wants him back. He is ready to spill the beans, unless Kelly gives him money. Kelly’s universe continues to collapse as the ever-conniving Paul convinces Kelly that if he goes down, she will too and that he would even be willing to confess that Kelly was behind all of this. Playing to her fragile emotional state, he proclaims that he did this only to protect his sister who was so distraught after losing her own baby. David and Dorian arrive home as Kelly interrupts Paul’s phone call to the birth mother. Kelly tells all to David and Dorian, whereupon Paul demands $50,000 for his silence. Dorian slowly walks to her desk, as Paul is outlining the conditions for his extortion but rather than a checkbook, pulls out a gun and orders Paul to leave immediately. Kelly is distraught, but Dorian (still clutching the gun) reassures her that Paul will not confess, in fact, he won’t say anything to anyone…

As Jen finally returns home, Paul grabs her. Angry about the turn of events of the previous night, he issues his threat…..
